Personal Information:
I have a wonderful husband who I have been with for 38 years and hope more. I have two children a Son (Samuel) 36 and Daughter (Leah) 34 & Son in Law (Marlon) 33 & Grandson (Xander) 1. All the kids are in the Army - I am very proud of my kids - Had a grand son Xander Sept 2, 2014 - July 27, 2009, and Feb 10, 2011 - I was honored to be selected as a Spark people Motivator!


Other Information:
I love to sing and I love to Sew, Quilt, Play cards, swim, camp, fish, hunt, bake cakes for people, (wedding, birthday any cake) ride my motorcycle, - if there is something I have not done - you name it I would like to try it - if I haven't done it yet.

    According to a Gallup poll, fifty-six percent of Americans want to lose weight. Most of us know that muscle burns more calories than fat, so when you are trying to lose weight, you want to lose body fat while preserving the muscle you have. Lifting weights while you are losing weight is not an option, it is a requirement. According to a Penn State study, when dieters don’t pump iron, twenty-two percent of their weight loss comes from losing muscle. So if you lose twenty pounds without lifting weights, almost five pounds will be muscle. Upping your protein intake is important and Columbia University researchers found that protein intake plays a significant role in preserving lean muscle mass during weight loss. Preserve your muscle as you drop body fat.

    Slow down and snack mindfully. Stop what you're doing to concentrate on your snack and eat because you're hungry, rather than eating to pass the time. Snacks, such as in-shell nuts that take longer to eat, will let you gauge your hunger levels more accurately.
