I have a wonderful husband who I have been with for 38 years and hope more. I have two children a Son (Samuel) 36 and Daughter (Leah) 34 & Son in Law (Marlon) 33 & Grandson (Xander) 1. All the kids are in the Army - I am very proud of my kids - Had a grand son Xander Sept 2, 2014 - July 27, 2009, and Feb 10, 2011 - I was honored to be selected as a Spark people Motivator!
I love to sing and I love to Sew, Quilt, Play cards, swim, camp, fish, hunt, bake cakes for people, (wedding, birthday any cake) ride my motorcycle, - if there is something I have not done - you name it I would like to try it - if I haven't done it yet.

Protein helps build muscle and can prevent overeating because it makes you feel fuller longer. But what about these protein bars - - are they a good choice? The New York Times cautions us to be aware of the sugar content and the calories when choosing a protein bar. Whey and soy are used as the protein source in most bars and lack taste and flavor so the makers of these bars add high fructose corn syrup and other low calorie sweeteners to make them taste good. The calorie count of these bars can also be high; close to two hundred and fifty calories and many have the same amount of calories and protein as a turkey sandwich which is not good for weight loss. The bottom line: choose unprocessed snacks like almonds or eggs to eat right after a vigorous workout instead of a processed protein bar.
