Older, but not necessarily more mature!

I will become a 10 year cancer survivor on 3/25/14. I fully believe one can grow older, and not grow up!

My Goals:
My goal is to reach a healthy weight of 130 by 4/16/14. When I reach my goal, I want to maintain my goal weight and the healthy, active lifestyle.

My Program:
I am tracking calories and am very mindful of portion control. I am trying just to stay within the guidelines and to learn that both moderation and patience are good things.

Personal Information:
I live in Vermont, but am originally from Massachusetts. I enjoy my stressful job, but when I retire I'd like to move to Ottawa, Ontario. My husband and I have been married 41 years and have three grown children. Life is good...

Other Information:
I hate to cook! I like knitting, especially knitting caps for chemotherapy patients and I like to knit caps and mittens for children who would go without. I like working with non-profit organizations and am a part of the largest food drive in our area. Last year we collected $125,000 and 22 tractor trailer trucks of food!

Never heard of a PICC line before either. it is a deeper intravenous line that allows for a long lasting entry.

It normally is probably not bad but they hit a nerve or nerves and I felt like I was being electrocuted emoticon

But they finally got it in and I go every day for 2 weeks for antibiotics at the infusion center next to the hospital. Hoping this works.

thanks for asking and glad you are fine!

take care

I'm glad you like my new 'possum belly cabinet.' Like you - I have always referred to them as a 'hoosier cabinet' but I can see why the term 'possum belly.' Love old things. They feel homey to me.

So happy you received good news from your doctor dear friend.

Beautiful Person Award"

You are the recipient of the Beautiful Person Award!!

Once you've been given this award, you have to paste it on the page of 8 people who deserve it. If you receive more than 3, you know you're really beautiful! If you break the chain, nothing will happen, but it's always good to know someone thinks you're beautiful inside and out.

Again, Congratulations Beautiful!
