Slow and steady

I had a goal to compete in marathons and triathlons by the time I hit 35 years old. However, I didn't make it because I ended up having two more kids.

I had a goal to compete in marathons and triathlons by the time I hit 35 years old. However, I didn't make it because I ended up having two more kids.

right now I am trying to get back on track after having a severely debilitating back injury that kept me from doing anything other then sitting or laying down. While suffering from this injury I gained 40 pounds.

My main goal is to get healthy and be around for my kids. My family history does not bode well if I don't get the weight off. My mother and father both suffered severe strokes before the age of 60, My dad had a triple artery block in his heart and my Mom has congestive heart failure due to her blood pressure being out of control. My dad was also diagnosed with Parkinson's disease about 6 years ago.

I have a lot of reasons for needing to get this weight off and keep it off. Now that I am done having kids and nursing them, I am sure that keeping it off will be much easier. The last two times I lost 50 pounds I ended up pregnant LOL.

My goal is to focus on getting healthy and stronger, Because I know it also makes me a happier better person, especially for those around me.

My Fitness goal is still to do Marathons and rock them ..

My Goals:
Just to get healthier and be able to do all the things I use to enjoy and had the energy for.

My Program:
For this week my goals are to get moving 45 minutes a day.

Personal Information:
I was raised 1/2 the time in California and 1/2 the time in Hawaii. I enjoy the sunshine and the water. I feel my best on days that are sunny but not too hot. I think everyone does really.

Other Information:
I am a bit introverted until I get to know someone. I have an extreme fear of dogs. Which recently ticked off a neighbor when his dog charged at my daughter. I am still bothered by it and can't make myself walk or ride my bike past his house . It has also bothered me in other ways. But I am working on it.
