I am not allowed to do any exercise other than walking right now, hence my name: Walking It Off Now.

I have been off and on various weight loss plans in the past - WW worked the best for in person meetings, but I resented having to pay to weigh in. So I found Sparkpeople - three times....let's just say that this lady has been flung off the merry-go-round a few times now.

My Goals:
My goals for 2014:
-lose 10% of my weight in 17 weeks (an office weight loss challenge that I joined)
-pare down my possessions before a move in September (de-clutter)
-walk at least 7000 steps a day
-do 30minutes of purposeful exercise daily

My Program:
-walking 30 mins minimum a day (in addition to what I do at work)
-tracking my food and drink intake
-not beating myself up when I stumble
-focus on the goal of health

Thanks for your comment on my blog. I see you wrote on your page that this is your last try here. May I give you some advice? First off know that you are in the right place. Don't leave whether your program is going well or you have a few missteps. Sometimes it takes awhile to get all the puzzle pieces in the correct order. I hate loosing the same stupid pounds over & over again too. As I reflect I realize I have had numerous non scale victories. And finally it's all coming together. I feel very confident that I will be experiencing many scale victories from now on. The power of consistent walking is amazing. Wishing you a wonderful journey. emoticon
