My Goals:
I plan to lose 5% of my body weight every 3 months until I'm at goal.

I plan to walk 100,000+ steps per week.

I intend to laugh every day, and find a way to make others laugh too.

My Program:
Eat within healthy guidelines.

Move it. Move it. Move it! Every day.

Learn at least 2 new exercises per month.

Support others.

Rejoice, Thank Jesus, and Celebrate every small victory!

Personal Information:
Psalm 139:14 (personalized)

I will praise God because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; His works are wonderful, I know that full well.

God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should change His mind. Does He speak and then not act? Does He promise and not fulfill?
Numbers 23:19

If God says that He made me wonderfully, who am I to argue?

I choose to concern myself with His standard of beauty, and not the world's.

Other Information:
Laughter dulls the sharpest pain and flattens out the greatest stress. To share it is to give a gift of health, because, as someone pointed out: Ulcers can't grow while you're laughing.

I believe that everything happens for a reason.
People change so that you can learn to let go,
things go wrong so that you appreciate them when they're right,
you believe lies so you eventually learn to trust no one but yourself,
and sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.
- Marilyn Monroe

I am so relieved that your Monkey Crunch recipe did not involve chopping up any monkeys!

(Nine Lives used to have a canned cat food called "Kitty Stew." Now I ask you, if beef stew has beef in it, and chicken stew has chicken in it, and pork stew has pork in it . . . what does Kitty Stew have in it?!?)

At times our own light goes out and is rekindled by a spark from another person. Each of us has cause to think with deep gratitude of those who have lighted the flame within us.
Albert Schweitzer
You are in the top five for team fitness minutes this week. Do not let your SPARK go out during Thanksgiving. Be grateful for your many blessings. YOU are one of MY blessings emoticon

I'm a weather wimp, but the right clothes help
In winter layering is the key. My core gets cold so I run in 2 moisture wicking shirts (one sleeveless and one long sleeve) topped with a wind breaker vest. If walking, I've got a toasty fleece jacket.
I have winter weight tights and also "compression" tights.
Smart wool socks keep my feet warm and of course gloves.
Headgear: I must have a slippery head since hats pop up and my ears get cold. I prefer a headband covered with a cap. Everything stays in place that way.
I put an extra headband around my neck - another place I need extra protection. I like this method because it keeps my neck warm and is loose enough that I don't sweat.
This seems like a lot of stuff, but it doesn't wear out and has lasted me for years.
Good luck. Stay warm out there.
