New Beginnings

Hey! My name is Cathy and as the title suggests I am beginning anew and making a new committment to myself and my health. Currently I'm between 180-185 pounds and want to be at least 125-130. I will need all the support you good folks on here can give me to reach my goal.

Here's to being slim and healthy! :)

Good luck on your lunch today! Trust me, I have been struggling with little (and definitely little!) sacrifices for a couple years now; I have never regreted not eating something, but there have been many times where I regreted eating something or too much... You will feel so much better for the rest of the work day if you only have a little indulgance!

Hang in there, you can do it!!! =)

Pam

Hi Cathy
I am sure you will be well on your way to looking great and feeling great by next summer.
I have started walking for an hr. a day, and I told my husband yesterday that I think I am starting to enjoy my walks.
I go by myself, cause I can walk at my speed, and than I can also talk to God and I gain strenght from that.
Wish you best of luck, you can do this!!

You can always try a class @ the gym. Yoga, swimming and etc. The swimming will do two things, Muscular Strength and it will also get you heart beat up. I go to the Y too and over the past 2 and a half years I've been apart of allot of activites.

I did running, everything in the weight-room (except for free weights), swimming, Aqua Deep (for 4-5 months) and now Martial Arts (Tae Kwon Do)..for 8 months.

Try a range of classes, try the weight-room, DVD'S and etc.

Welcome to the YMCA Memebers team and also welcome to the BLF team. I'm am the team leaders for both teams aswell. On the BLF side, if you need some help, DAN and WENDY will be also happy to help you. It was sad to see Jerry gone, but that little attitude today wasn't the greatest for the team. He did pull off 88 pounds and all I can say is WOW!!

WANT2BEFIT3's - Welcome. A couple quick suggestions. First, use the food tracker to track/count all your caleries (this will keep you honest). Also, plan out your exercise and make it a habit. Even if it is only a 30 minute walk every day. Read the threads, there are a million good ideas here, but if you do these two, you will lose weight. Rick
