Cruise Ship Bound
Hi! I'm Vicky - A 50 year old first grade teacher. I want to get healty enough to really be able to enjoy a cruise with my husband, sister, and brother-in-law in April 09. Hope to lose 100 pounds in a year! UPDATE 4/19/09: I enjoyed my cruise at 90 pounds of that 100 pound goal. It is amazing how the closer I got to reaching my goal, the more ways I found to sabotage myself. Still, I found that I was able to keep up with everyone and do everything the rest of my family did ...

It is amazing how the closer I got to reaching my goal, the more ways I found to sabotage myself. Still, I found that I was able to keep up with everyone and do everything the rest of my family did plus a little more! Not only did I walk from one end to the other of the ship countless times, I snorkeled, climbed a lighthouse and climbed to the top of some Mayan ruins. Unfortunately, I ate a lot too. Now I'm one week post cruise and am trying to get refocused to take off my cruise pounds and keep going from here. All in all, it has been a fantastic journey so far.

My Goals:
Goals: Walking on a Carribean beach at sunset Swimming with dolphins 20 pounds - 05/05/08 40 pounds - 06/20/08 60 pounds - 08/29/08 80 pounds - 12/8/08 100 pounds - 115 pounds 125 pounds When I make this goal I'll reevaluate and see where I need to go from here!
My Program:
My weight has gotten so high and my knees so bad, I am starting off with just water aerobics for cardio. Hoping that as soon as I can start losing I'll add the elliptical trainer and strength training. Started elliptical trainer 4/13/08. Started just a little strength training on 4/20/08 Next week (6/8) when school is out, I will start doing elliptical trainer for a min. of 15 minutes for 3 or more days a week.
