Striving to be Fit in My Golden Years

I started this journey last July ('14) ovese, frustrated, constantly tired and hating myself. Now, I'm fitter, healthier, feel wonderful and have truly made healthy habits by changing my diet and activity level gradually. I am proud of myself and looking forward to continuing my good habits into maintenance mode which is only 5 pounds away!

My Goals:
Nutrition: Stay within calorie range for weight reduction, track everything I eat and drink, weigh and measure foods, eat mostly whole foods and more than 5 servings fruits and veggies every day.

Exercise: Cardio, at least 30 minutes a day aiming for 10K steps 4 days a week and at least 7 K the other days.

Strength training: Do SP video for each section of body at least 2 times a week.

Personal Information:
Live in Virginia. Have 3 great sons, a wonderful husband, 4 dogs, 5 cats and a bearded dragon.


Other Information:
Love reading, kayaking on the Chesapeake Bay, gardening, walking my dogs, hiking and anything in the water.

emoticon Smiling is infectious: you catch it like the flu, When someone smiled at me today, I started smiling too. emoticon I passed around the corner and someone saw my grin When he smiled I realized I'd passed it on to him. emoticon I thought about that smile and then I realized it's worth! emoticon A single smile, just like mine, could travel the 'round the earth.
