My name is weeden, I have two beautiful kids a 4 year old boy and an 15 month old baby girl. I had no problems with losing the weight after my oldest(a boy,and girl I had twins) but this time the extra pounds have just stuck. I dont have that much to lose but I would really like to tone my body up like before the kids. I am now recently married and my main goal was to lose and tone up for my wedding and honeymoon in Aruba. I was pretty close to my goal on my wedding day and even closer now. I have decided to lose a bit more weight now and am setting a new goal for my self. I would like to get down to 110, the weight I was before getting pregnant with my daughter. I have always been a small person, I am barely 5'2 and any exta weight on my small frame makes me look even larger. Not to mention that being short finding pants that actually fit is a huge problem. So far I have lost 20 pounds over half of that on sparks people. I have learned that losing weight is not about dieting, but eating healthy and keeping active. I know alot of my wieght was due to the fact that I became a stay at home mom and food was always around. I have learned to control my eating to an extent. I do not deprive myself of something i want though. I learned it is unhealthy for me to just give up something i like because it makes me want it even more. So if I want a cookie, or some chips I will have some. The key is moderation. I want to feel better about myself, I want to inspire my kids to be active and stay active. I want to be a good example to them. Kids are perceptive and watch you carefully. I want them to know what is good for you and what is not. I want to buy clothes that fit well. I want to feel like I did 10 years ago when I was in HS and at my thinnest. But I want to be healthy, strong, and determined. I want to look and feel good in a bathing suit, and in my own skin. I want to look in a mirror and actually like what I see. I do not want to quit, give up or make excuses. I do not want to backslide. I do not want to regain the wieght. This is the time to live healthy and be healthy, for myself, for my kids, my husband and my family and friends. I have hit another wall in my journey and have not lost any weight since June. I am trying to switch things up in my routine, eat different foods and not the same ol things. It is only a stop sign and not the end of the road. I will make it through this one just like the last platue. If not now when? August 2008- 137/136 lbs November 2008 (started sparks)-126/125 lbs April 2009-119 lbs July 2009-116 lbs August 2009 116 October 2009 114 Start-swimsuit bootcamp (May 3 2009)-119 lbs End camp-116 lbs Only 3 pounds lost but I am still following the camp THE TEN COMMANDMENTS OF GOAL SETTING 1. Thou Shall Be Decisive Success is a choice. You must decide what you want, why you want it, and how you plan to achieve it. No one else can, will, or should do that for you. 2. Thou Shall Stay Focused A close relative to being decisive, but your ability to sustain your focus from beginning to end determines the timing and condition of your outcomes. 3. Thou Shall Write Down Thy Goals Your mind while blessed with permanent memory is cursed with lousy recall. People forget things. Avoid the temptation of being cute; Write down your goals. 4. Thou Shall Plan Thoroughly Planning saves 10 to 1 in execution. Proper planning prevents poor performance. 5. Thou Shall Welcome Failure The fundamental question is not whether you should accept failure. You have no choice but to expect it as a temporary condition on the path way of progress. Rather, the question is how to anticipate failure and redirect resources to grow from the experience. 6. Thou Shall Involve Others Nobody goes through life alone. Establish your own "Personal Board of Directors", people whose wisdom, knowledge and character you respect to help you achieve your goals. 7. Thou Shall Take Purposeful Action Success is not a spectator sport - achievement demands action. You cannot expect to arrive at success without having made the trip. 8. Thou Shall Reward Thyself Rewards work! Think of what you will give yourself as a result of your hard work, focus and persistence - you deserve it! 9. Thou Shall Inspect What Thy Expect The Shelf life of all plans is limited. No plan holds up against opposition. Everything changes. Therefore inspect frequently and closely, it's an insurance policy on your success. 10. Thou Shall Maintain Personal Integrity Maintain your commitment to your commitment. Set your goals; promise yourself that you will achieve them. Eliminate wiggle room and excuses. That's personal integrity!
