Tammo, 4 weeks old
I am a 55 year old woman of British origin living in Germany. I have three beautiful daughters, 2 sweet little granddaughters and a dear baby grandson. Before finding SparkPeople, I had been podgy and unfit for at least 7 years and was fed up (to the gills) of that - it was time to move! I tend to eat any cake that lands in front of me, so I am practicing choosing good quality or just having a small sample.
I am 5 feet 2 inches tall and weighed in at 67 kilos in August 2012 - I reached my goal weight of 58 kilos in April 2013.
June 2013: getting to grips with maintenance mode and very relieved that I am managing to incorporate exercise (mainly walking and elliptical) on a regular basis to my new active lifestyle- I really feel out of sorts now if I have a lazy day!!
March 14: drinking my greens for a change - hope the scales like them too!! At the moment I am working on getting below 58 kg again, 59.4 kg at the moment, so it can be done!
Sept 14: my weight is hovering in the 59 kg range, but I am fine with that as long as I keep moving and eating wholesome food!
April 15: made it to my 2nd maintenance anniversary and feel !
Dez 15: Having a tough time after my mother died in October. General overeating and lack of purpose. Weight gain of 6 pounds which I dispise. This is going to stop - NOW!
Feb 2016: I am moving faster again now, 2 pounds down and feeling a lot calmer! I know this is doable.....
April 2016: lost 4lbs of the winter regain, so will start working on getting back down to 59kg, my maintainable happy weight.
August 16 - I am still hovering on the wrong side of 60kg, but making progress as in 2 steps forward, 1 step back!
January 2017: the flu knocked my appetite on the head, so I am happy to be below 59kg for a change!
I started off wanting to look better in clothes, to feel more confident at work and just to move at a faster pace and to have more general energy.
Now after more than 3 years on SparkPeople I feel at home here and love having lovely people to cheer on and be encouraged by too!
tracking my nutrition and fitness and jogging/walking as well as a dumbbell-workout and general gymnastics/dancing in the sitting room.
Feb. 16: working on getting rid of a regain of 6-8 pounds after having lost 24 pounds in 2012-2013.
I write different types of lyrics and poems, sing in a female choir and enjoy travelling to different countries as well as reading quite a lot. I also love gardening!

Oh yes, it sounds like it was time to move (a shame that YOU are moving and not the nasty neighbours though, although the heavy-metal thing made me laugh, it should get interesting!!!)... I LOVE climbing roses so much! And my garden-to-be at the moment looks very square and boring, I would love for it to become more of a 'jungle', you'll have to give me ideas! :)
Have a beautiful Saturday! Very chilly here as well! I have some friends for dinner tonight and I am making some warm comforting food. But for now, time to get ready and visit my mother.

You are right, I need to make sure I have the time to move!!! ;) I won't have any trip between mid-March and mid-April, so that's my 'moving time" (although I am planning to move on 25 March, if all goes well, I know I'll need time to adjust on the other end afterwards! just as time-consuming as packing!).
Are you getting excited about signing for your new house? How does it compare to your current one? A nice garden too?
