Hi, my name is Clive McGrory or MAC to my friends. I am 59 years old and live in a small village near Falkirk, Scotland. Hi, my name is Clive McGrory or MAC to my friends. I am 59 years old and live in a small village near Falkirk, Scotland. In fact it is so small that it comprises one street, 50 houses and a small primary school. The beauty of the place is that at the back of my house is a village park which is protected as a site of natural beauty and also has a part that even the villagers cannot enter without permission as it contains some rare flowers. My main interests are cooking, reading and the internet although during the summer months cricket is a priority and I will be glued to the TV for a lot of the time. I live with my wife, Mary, and daughter, Patricia, and my mother, Beryl. My mother joined us up here 7 years ago as she found she could no longer take care of herself properly. Since she came she has got back to the Mum I knew as a child and she is once more enjoying herself, (she is 84 this year). I am disabled and so is my daughter. I have multiple disabilities which mean that I require a wheelchair to travel distance but I am fortunate in that I can still get about the house with the aid of a delta walker, and am increasing my mobility range slowly through managd exercise. I do require some assistance at night and my daughter has drawn the short straw as my wife also has a full time job. Activity wise I generally do the housework and cook for my mother and the garden is also my responsibility. I am able to garden with the aid of a modified shopping trolley which enables me to sit whilst using full size tools. I attend a local church and part of that is baking for the after service get together. There is also a lunch club which meets every Tuesday and I sometimes do the main cooking for that also, although we do have a lady who heats everything up or cooks herself and generally everyone pitches in to serve up and wash the dishes afterwards. I generally have a good quality of life and I like to keep a smile going whenever I can. I am an eternal optimist and know that even when things are not going well there is always hope around the corner and that a better and brighter future awaits us all.

As to getting more water tight and the like your correct in that I should have that tower completed and some tweaking here and there. We hope to finish w drywall before it is too cold. I have a project I am about to start is our heating system. We will use a strange stove that is designed to maximize heat using pipes and a draw fan w regular vents through out the home.
If it doesn't work out we will replace it next fall w a more expensive brand (we cant afford at this time).
As you know I bring my children whom I and the wife homeschool with me to the land and they are already complaining of the 40s to 50s f haha I still go sleeveless in this weather.

Our water system is almost ready to complete as the tower 3rd floor (on the tower I just finished the roof on) is the main treatment area. This will still inhibit finishing the water system until siding and such as well as a door is installed.
So the heat, water proofing/ repairing tweaking , siding boards as always then the sewer as soon as the rain lets up for a few days as the clay is too sticky to work in when its wet. We will pour our own septic tank but are using a large excavator we found we could rent cheap to do the earth moving and leach field.
I used a lot of logs for cross beams and support that are now in the way in a large amount of the interior walls and ceiling of the place and thus I have been charged with boxing them in... This has proven to cost more then using actual store bought beams.. live and learn right emoticon I will be making the box edges out of wide beams however to still look and function for a lifetime as with other projects I almost always try to go the extra mile. I hope you make a trip over one of these days once we complete this endeavor for a nice week or weekend. I value your opinion, thanks for the input.

Have a Awesome week my friend, Chris emoticon

Forgive me, I am thrilled your mom is still around. I am trying to keep busy. Once again. Sorry for the mistake.

Hoping you are all doing well. How is the weather in Scotland? It is really dark here, like it is going to storm.

I can't believe your mom is gone. I actually thought she would make it thru the New Year.

I am enjoying my life immensely. I am so happy.

Take care, and I will be here tomorrow to chat. Love

Hello Mac!

Just and update on "Ronnie" he had his surgery last night and,
the heart doctor put a stent on the right side of his heart because,
of his chest pain and he also had a clogged artery on the right side,

Which the heart doctor said if he didn't get in their when he did I,
would have lost him due to that blocked artery ugh.

Otherwise he says he is feeling much better than he did and I,
wanna say thanks for the prayers and thanks for being our friend.
