I can use my glasses as a gauge for how much thinner my face has become since June 2006.

Who's that fat chick pointing at petroglyphs on the Green River, Utah?

This is the picture that got me started on all this in the first place.

I have 12 pics in my gallery

It worked and it's going to work again

I joined SparkPeople in the summer of 2006 and kicked a$$ for about a year. I lost 55 pounds and kept it off and felt like I was on top of the world. Then I got lazy and stopped logging in my calories and just about stopped exercising, using my busy life as an excuse. Well, my new wardrobe is getting tight and I refuse to go back (especially because I got rid of my fat clothes and can't afford to buy another fat wardrobe!) I gained about 30 pounds back and realized it's because I'm not ...
I joined SparkPeople in the summer of 2006 and kicked a$$ for about a year. I lost 55 pounds and kept it off and felt like I was on top of the world. Then I got lazy and stopped logging in my calories and just about stopped exercising, using my busy life as an excuse. Well, my new wardrobe is getting tight and I refuse to go back (especially because I got rid of my fat clothes and can't afford to buy another fat wardrobe!) I gained about 30 pounds back and realized it's because I'm not holding myself accountable. All I need to do is log my calories on SparkPeople and the guilt is enough to keep me going!! So extra pounds, be gone with you!

These are things I consider major advantages to losing the extra weight:

I can sit cross-legged in my office chair.
I can paint my toenails comfortably.
I can do many more yoga poses comfortably.
I can wear my summer skirts and not have my thighs rub.
I can wear non-stretchy jeans.
I can wear my watch.
I don't feel like the fattest person at the gym.
I can wear my double-whammy columbia jacket.
I can wear my favorite rings on the correct fingers.

My Goals:
As of 1/5/09 Drop the 30 pounds I gained during my "sabbatical" from SparkPeople, and then lose 15 more.

As of 2/11/09 12 pounds of the initial 30 down!

My Program:
Trying to stay around 1500 calories per day. Cardio when I can. The elliptical machine and my Ipod are my saviors. I really like to jog but winter daylight usually precludes this.

Personal Information:
I'm from New Jersey originally but have transplanted to Arkansas for Grad school and plan on enjoying the rest of my life in the Ozarks.
