OMGosh! don't fret about those awesome tiger stripes! You might not enjoy them now, but think about what they really symbolize. That's proof that your body worked hard to safely house a child! You are so close. Your husband thinks you are beautiful no matter what! It's what they do and honestly, a mother's belly is the most beautiful thing in the world!

You may never be able to be rid of the stretch marks, but you can get back to feeling strong and healthy after the baby is here. I love seeing your weekly photos! You are awesome.

Hey! I'm actually 34 weeks on Wednesday. Apparently it is a milestone week to hit as the baby is considered 'late preterm' and no longer just preterm. Supposedly it means a better outcome for the little guy! I'm looking forward to it. So you are in the t-minus 10-week countdown now eh? It is very exciting! I remember when I entered the 10-week countdown...it really gave me a push to start getting more baby things organized!

My husband took vacation days this past week (he needed to use them or lose them by the end of April) and painted the nursery. It was so hard deciding on the paint colour! My goodness! We had 7 different tester samples up on the wall. We ended up going for a bluish green. I guess it might scream boy a little bit haha. I decided that beige would be too much like the rest of the house and really wanted to have the room be all about baby.

Last night we ate dinner at my husband's parent's place and they have a nursery rocking chair for us. It's not as comfortable as some I've tried (we need to buy some padding) but it is so darn cute! It is also lovely that it was the rocker my husband's mom used for him and for his older brother. It's a nice family heirloom!

I'm still apprehensive about how the whole thing will turn out (we're just finishing touch ups and haven't moved the furniture in yet) but I am excited to at least be at the point where we can move the furniture in. I'm starting to feel much more gigantically pregnant right now and it feels important to at least have somewhere to put the little guy down when he comes home! We don't have a lot of things yet because the baby showers are so late.

Well, I hope things are going well with you!

Hello darlin!

Hope you are having a fantastic pregnancy and are feeling so much better so you can enjoy the rest of it! half way now? beyond?

Been missing ya, but I know that motherhood in the works really is exhausting!

That sounds darling! Is your crib white too? It sounds like a vintagey princess room with the crown moulding and the distressed white change table. I love that look! I feel like I'd have more ideas for a little girl nursery but, alas, we are having a little boy and I've struggled a bit with the nursery design. We have an expresso crib set from toys r us (dresser will do double duty as a change table).

Right now the room is a beige but we might paint to lighten it up to a lighter coloured beige. I've seen some nice things on pinterest where the walls are beige and then colour is added through wall decals and other items in the room. I'm trying for the room to not be overly in your face boy if you know what I mean.

I REALLY want a nice upholstered glider. We are doing a 'reading nook' in one corner with a wall shelf and this glider I want to get. The hope will be that it can continue to be a special reading place for us in the years to come. I'm still on the lookout for my glider! Starting to feel a bit pressed for time! haha. I'm in the single digit countdown now (31 weeks pregnant as of today).

:)

Yes exactly! My husband was pretty paranoid about leaving the country and we were both worried about me getting stomach sick again! The vacation was nice as we just didn't have to stare around our house at all the things that are still undone for a few days. Also swimming was great.

I swear I spend half of my time staring at my crazy abdomen moving all over the place and exclaiming loudly "what are you doing in there?". It's like he has a baby party every once and a while lol.

I did my glucose test and it was fine. I wouldn't worry about it if you haven't had any symptoms. The plus side of doing it for me was that they uncovered the low iron. They threw in a few other tests while they were looking at the blood work.

I'm kind of bummed that the baby showers are scheduled for later as I like to plan too but my friend who is hosting the work one is getting married on April 26th which meant that the shower needed to be mid-May (they are honeymooning right after the wedding and she was too busy before). The other one is my mother who feels that May 4th will be the best time. I'm just hoping that it will all go okay and that we'll still have enough time to get the items we need but didn't receive. My husband keeps telling me that if we find we need something, we can always go out and get it after the baby has arrived. It's true that we're not going to be out in the arctic. Babies R Us will still be standing lol.

I know what you mean about the cleaning! We've been trying so hard to get things organized around here. I feel like I will feel more prepared for baby once we have more of our house better organized. Unfortunately, we still have a few half finished reno type things hanging around. They are driving me crazy! We have a half painted hallway/stairwell and a sanded down bannister right now. We're trying to get someone in to do the work but of course time is of the essence....plus I will need to go and stay with my mom while fumes/lack of stair railings are afoot! I wish I had more energy to clean but alas we will get done what we can before baby eh? That was pretty great of your husband! Probably exactly what you needed :) I also want everything to be perfect :( It's hard when you're all hormonal and nothing seems right. Don't even get me started on the nursery! We have some furniture but otherwise it's pretty well not done yet. What are you doing for yours?
