Battle of the Buldge

How did we already get to 2011? Man, what a year. Still doing the glueten/dairy free thing. Now the meal I look forward to is glueten free waffles with raspberries and blueberries. It's a hard life. But someone's got to do it!

Update: Holy Cow it's 2010! Fast forward a few years. While I haven't gone down to a size eight, I've done a lot of "cleaning" inside. I've also started getting glueten/dairy out of my diet. Already seeing results. Dropped down to a size 9. Yeah! ...

In the Past:
I'm a recent college graduate who gained the fresham 15 plus. A lot of the weight gain was due to severe depression and the accompanying emotional eating. I went through a period in my life that was very inactive ( a lot of TV watching) and was filled with high calorie sweets like ice cream. I've gone through about three anti-depressants and have finally found the right one. Yeah for Zoloft! So the anxiety is no longer constant and the depression doesn't interfere with my life.

Current Reading List:

The Wayfarer Redemption by Sara Douglas
Wonderfully epic story.

Self Matters by Dr. Phil
Surprisingly helpfull. The book helps the reader find and stay true to their "authentic self."

Earth Abides
Interesting book about the decline and subsequent rebuilding of civilization. The book is set in the U.S. after most of the population has been wiped out by a disease.

I call it my "furry fix." I can't imagine living without having something to pet.

Thanks for the blog comment. I usually recognize pups before I recognize their people :)

Hi,

Just replying to your post, as I am not a member of that team...

you asked about other active things to do now that you are unemployed... a lot of Yoga studios have free classes a couple of times a week... the ones i have seen are on the weekend usually but you should look into it... it's a way of giving back that many of them believe in...

Maybe you can make a few friends and you can get together and work out, with many of us (yep me too) out of work, we need to be a little creative about how we keep moving ...

Good luck... one of my favorite quotes is "A woman who wants something will find a way. A woman who doesn't will find an excuse."

Hi there, I'm working from home temporarily because I'm helping to open a new division and the office isn't completely set up yet. I have heard good things about Aspire... I think that's the name. It's a company that hires people to work from home to handle overflow calls from other call centers.
