Wild West Kate Ready to Wrangle a More Slender Figure

After dealing with family tragedy, mental obstacles and life-changing events, I'm ready to put myself first. I want to be toned, in shape and healthy. My first goal is lose - or look like I've lost - enough weight to change from my current figure (photo in black) to my Summer 2004 figure (photo in pink). That will put me at 50% of my ultimate fitness goal.

time we fall." - Confucious

My Goals:
Ultimately, I want to lose - or look like I've lost - 50 pounds by May 2010. "Never trade what you want the most for what you want at the moment."

My Program:
I've joined the Biggest Loser challenge at work; loaned out my car, so I have to bike/wike to get anywhere; and am focusing on positive thinking and my relationship with God to help me bypass temptations. Worrying does not empty tomorrow of its troubles; it empties today of its strength.

Other Information:
It comes down to a simple question: what do you want out of life, and what are you willing to do to get it?

Your comment on the "Using Exercise to Relieve Depression" article was absolutely beautiful.

I've really been struggling lately and you helped so much just by sharing your own experiences. I just really wanted to thank you.

Wild West, Thank you for your response to the article about exercise and depression. I felt and continue to feel lighter about not being able to do the things I "know" I should be doing.
When you wrote that other people say, "just get up and exercise" and do not understand the internal struggle that goes on in our heads... I almost cried with relief.
Thank you,
Patricia emoticon
