My Goals:
Just working on blood sugar control and reducing medications.

Low carb! SparkPeople is great for counting carbs and helping me make responsible choices.







No more of this:

Portion control and calorie counting.

Dietician says I get 4 carbs, 1 fat, 3 dairy, 3 proteins, and 5 fruit/veg portions a day, shooting for 1200 calories a day. These are diabetic portions, which are about half the size of portions for other people.

I'm working hard to keep this interesting and satisfying. Also increasing physical activity.

Thank you for your comment on my blog! Ummm...I guess he could be a little depressed but not clinically depressed. IT'S ALL FOOD RELATED!!!!!!!! PERIOD! He has done it..he can do it....If people knew what proper food and nutrition actually does....UGH! Even depression numbers would be down! Drug companies would go out of business! :)
But alas...excuses and processed food and drive thrus praying on the week and emotional will make sure that never happens.
I have lost 65 lbs...I know the struggle to lose weight and completely change your habits! It's not easy. But when you live with someone like me and whose career it is to help people lose weight, gain muscle, get off medication, and be mobile again...and you see other OLDER people do it...welll...why would you want to be 40 and take 18 or whatever pills a day!? I don't get it! Now I'm ranting here! LOL I know your concern and I appreciate it. I do keep an eye out for all things with him...and again...unless he's ready..it doesn't matter what I say or suggest. :) xoxoxoxox have a fantastic and very healthy week!

thanks for your comment on my blog. Freezing cake won't work for me, I like it frozen too...................grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. I don't know why I even bought it. The only thing that would stop me is tossing it and throwing used coffee grinds on top of it.
