Starting over

I was doing good last year, but sadly all that work was for nothing because it's all back. I have lost all confidence and am not pleased with myself for letting this happen. I need to start over. Hard part is feeling like I'm worth it again. If anyone is willing, I could really use some motivation and support.

Thanks for the massage! I came home stiff and sore from standing so much at the race. It was a welcome surprise. DS did the marathon in 5 hours and 58 seconds. He said never again but was really proud of his accomplishment. He did the Maryland triple this year whick consisted of the Frederick half marathon in the spring, A 10 K race a couple of months ago and todays full marathon.

Hope you are feeling better soon, I hate it when my back is hurting. Hard to do the things that need to be done. How is your grandfather doing and your aunt. I agree with you about your daughter possibly going thru a separation anxiety phase. Maybe she is worried by something she has heard. Just give her a lot of support and reassurance that you are not going to leave her along. That you and daddy love her and will always be there for her. Try to be careful about what you say about health and marriage and money problems around her. At her age she picks up on everything that is said and it is common for a child at that age to worry about not being loved, being abandoned and if something is wrong it is her fault. She needs encouragement and reassurance. I know you do this all the time but still sometimes a mothers love and reassurance is what they need more than anything. Hugs Pat

A leisurely stroll can bring joy and has its benefits---but to lose weight is NOT one of them. To help keep your weight in check, you need to step up the pace to at least 3 miles an hour.

"Brisk" means walking as though you're late for the bus.

* Less than 3 mph is considered slow walking.

* More than 3 mph is considered brisk walking.

* More than 4 mph is considered very brisk walking.

You can calculate your speed by counting your steps for one minute-3 mph is about 120 steps a minute, while 4 mph is about 135 steps a minute! So let's get moving on this "Walking Wednesday"!
