I'm in my late 50's. I never had weight issues until after I had my kids. I never learned about portion control or any of those things that are important in weight loss.

I've been on Weight Watchers and used their ActiveLink. I lost 10 pounds and have kept it off, but got bored with going to meetings (also meetings weren't always possible because I have MS fatigue).

My Goals:
Ideally, I want to lose 60 more pounds.

I want to be more healthy to minimize any weight-related effects to my MS.

Personal Information:
I've been married to my husband for 25 years. We have 3 grown children between us and have 8 grandkids.

I have 2 silly dogs. One is a female Black Lab who is afraid of thunder, fireworks, or any such noise. The other is a male Hound mix, I think he is a Plott Hound, but I'm not sure. He is a couch potato and lives for food!

I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in Feb. 2003, but had my first major attack in around March 1988. I am ambulatory, use a cane part time due to fatigue and occasional balance issues.

Other Information:
I love to read cozy mysteries, fantasy, urban fantasy, Westerns, almost anything.

I also like to crochet and do counted cross-stitch.

I love to see Florida wildlife in my yard and when I'm out and about.

Good Monday Morning! Krys here, stopping by to wish you a week full of good choices, exercise, and ounces and ounces worth of crystal clear water. How are things going for you this colorful month of October? Here in Florida, the weather has been bouncing between the low 90's and the mid 80's which is pretty typical for this time a year. Do you have any fall festivities planned for this month? My family and I are always very involved in Halloween and fall festivities so I have not been Sparking as much as I would like. The first costume party occurred this weekend and was very enjoyable, I posted some pictures of me and my husband in costume. Even in my absence, my family of Sparkers is never far from my thoughts, so I wanted to send you some "you can do it" motivation and check in.

I am cheering for you!

Thought I had written a few words but guess the mouse arrow was not where it was supposed to be. In your comment on my page you asked if it was my computer or my eyes that was a problem. It may be both, I am having more trouble reading small print (have macular d.) but the computer is definitely losing it's brightness. This print I can read easily but that is not always available. I am having ringing in my ears too, plus right ear is itchy. Doc told me before. I could use eye drops in my ear. just don't use ear drops in your eyes!!! Thanks for your input. I hope my daughter calls this evening, she may be able to tell me something I can do......ha ha, she called just as I wrote that!! And she helped me get the screen nice and bright. Better go back and check what I missed, now I can answer etc. Love and hugs, Betty

I am always happy to have you stop by. When I don't see you for two or three days I become concerned the MS has got you down. I hope your having some relief and that the support groups are beneficial.

The blue dragon hangs out on my computer desk. I purchased him at the renaissance fair this year. When he is not on my desk he is on my arm as he is wearable and curls up your arm like a cuff.

I don't wear it except on occasions because I am concerned about his wings being damaged by catching on things... Still I think he is really cool and found if I straighten him out he makes a good place holder if I need to quickly stop reading one of my books *grin*

All hail the Multipurpose Dragon!
