WordGirl830's Journey to Ultimate Health and Wellness

I am a 30-something year old wife to a wonderful husband and mother of 3 awesome children. I've been in this weight loss battle since '98, but I feel like I can reach my goals this time. I don't plan to give up until I reach success. I'm well on my way, and I'll get there with God's help.

February 11, 2013 I decided to sign up for the 5% Winter Challenge. I plan to enrich my diet with lean meats, fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds and exercise at a minimum of 150 minutes a week. I plan to give out spark goodies to encourage my teammates. I also plan to post regularly to give and receive support. I will weigh weekly while I am member of this challenge, even though the scale and I have had a hate relationship for years. But, I believe with support, and help from God, I can stick to this plan, tweaking when necessary, to accomplish my goals.

My Goals:
My first goal is to lose 9 pounds while participating in the 5% Winter into Spring Challenge!

My Program:
I am currently researching the proper foods to rid my body of H-Pylori bacteria. Lately, I have been actively practicing meditating on God's Word so that it will enrich my life, give me direction, and help me reach my goals. So far, it is helping me tremendously. I am focusing on incorporating more fiber in my diet, drinking more water, and exercising at least 150 minutes a week.

Other Information:
I am an avid reader, and I love to write in my spare time. Bowling is a favorite family activity that we indulge in as often as we can. But most of all, I love to spend time with family and friends, doing whatever makes us happy at that time.

Hey, girl. Thanks for stopping by my page. :)

I'll tell you what I've learned about shoes and Zumba. I bought the Z1 Sneakers, and I LOVED them on the floor at the local gym and in my certification class. They worked PERFECTLY! BUT! In the studio where I teach Zumba, the floor is a bit different, and I can not wear the Zumba shoes--they are too slick for that floor. I ended up taking my shoes and socks off and teaching barefooted. And I don't recommend that if you get pedicures or file your feet--I got BLISTERS on the bottoms of my feet. I have to wear my running shoes on that floor. And jazz shoes? Forget it! They're not good for Zumba on ANY floor that I've found. Lol.

Hope you're having a great week! :)
