One more time

Ok here we go again. 6 months have gone by and nothing has happened except I am in more pain and just as heavy. Gotta do something.

I have struggled with my weight all my life. I realize that if I have been struggling this long, it will be an issue that I will need to address for the rest of my life. But, I can only do that one day at a time. I intend on improving fitness and losing weight on a daily basis until I achieve my goal. THEN I will maintain my level of fitness ...

I have struggled with my weight all my life. I realize that if I have been struggling this long, it will be an issue that I will need to address for the rest of my life. But, I can only do that one day at a time. I intend on improving fitness and losing weight on a daily basis until I achieve my goal. THEN I will maintain my level of fitness and keep the weight off on a daily basis.

I live in Huntington, WV. It was one of the fattest towns in America. I am sad to say I have contributed to that statistic. I broke the 300 pound barrier over Christmas (305). I swore I would never let that happen. That is what I get for swearing I guess. I have to do something. I am either going to die young or be a very miserable old man.

All discipline seems painful rather than pleasant but later it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness for those who have been trained by it.

Today:

1. Achieve all my "other goals."

3. Track all foods.
4. Do 30 minutes of house work.
5. Get on Spark People for 30 minutes.

My Program:
I have so much work to do around the house. Is it possible to improve fitness by doing chores?
I think it might be a good start but at some point I will need to begin exercise.

Other Information:
If I track my food I am much less likely to overeat.

Just saw your blog. I'm nowhere near you geographically, but I'm in the same weight range and battling some of the same issues. I'd be happy to email or text with you for moral support. And in answer to one of your questions on your SparkPage-YES, housework does burn calories and is a workout! I can't remember where I saw the link for looking up calories burned for everyday activities, but even folding laundry was there. I even count my knitting and crocheting, because like SP emphasizes, a calorie burned-is a calorie burned!
