Love my knitting group - such a lively, fun group. We meet 2 or 3 times a week and knit and chat away!! Right now am knitting a prayer shawl for a friend who has cancer and a scarf for me, I like beading too but have not done any for a while. We do have a nice bead shop here in Pendleton - need to stop in there and get inspired.

Elaine and i have been meeting for almost 2 years now - at the Donut Shop. We have done a study of the book of Roman and have now started a study of Revelation. We have a good study outline and are excited about what God is going to teach us.

I have discovered that just logging into SparkPeople every day, reading all the inspiring blogs, and visiting the teams i belong to is not going to take off all this extra weight i continue to carry - i am going to have to actually start following all the good encouraging suggestions and do have a plan of my own.

I live in Pendleton, Oregon - in the NE corner of the state - famous for the Pendleton Roundup in September - when the town double in size. Lots of activities: the rodeo, Happy Canyon (the Indian pageant), 2 big parades, and booths all over town that have goodies to eat, beautiful articles to purchase.

Hi Barb,
Just wondering how you are doing, you haven't been on for a while, I do hope you're well.

We're still in the middle of a heatwave here, proper sunshine though so not too humid, can't be doing with that!
I spent the day on the beach with Leah and the children plus her friends are their children yesterday, really enjoyed myself. Five adults and nine children all under twelve...sand in your sandwiches and water...what a mix!

We've been doing something each tuesday through the school holidays as her best friend is off work that day. I've had such a good time, can't wait for next week, we're taking the kids on a train ride and some of them have never been on a train before, we'll end up at Filey, a lovely little seaside town, maybe to go on the beach or in the park and round it all off with fish & chips..yum!

Hope you're having a good week emoticon

Hi Barb,
Sorry it has taken me so long to respond to your wonderful goodie. My life has been turned upside down as late. I'm glad to hear about your new motto. I need to take it to heart also. I think things are starting to calm down. Just got back from my family reunion had a blast. I had so much fun and it was great to meet family that I have never met before. I got to sit in a hot tub and just relax. I slept great in the clean mountain air and had absolutely no trouble with my allergies. I feel so refreshed and I am trying to catch up on all that I have let slip through my fingers this month. I hope you are still doing great on the July Exercise Challenge.
Love Pam emoticon emoticon emoticon
