Just Get Started!

Hello SparkMembers! I've been a new member since September 13th, 2013. I came here hoping this site will help me reach my goal of losing 20 pounds. It's now in the New Year of 2014 and I have lost pounds since being a member of Spark! I haven't reached my goal weight yet... but I know I will sometime in 2014!

I am happily married and have 2 wonderful kids. I'm in my early 40's and would like to meet others around the same age and older but any age is welcome. =)

In the past, I was a fit and healthy person and had no problem working out and eating right until I hit the extreme lows of depression. That illness changed me and my life big time! It took many years for me to get well again.

I am feeling better and am looking forward to being that "FIT and HEALTHY" person again. I just want that frame of mind I once had of keeping strong, fit and healthy but with a more positive outlook on life.

So here I am joined up to SparkPeople to get that "FIT-ME" back!

YEAR 2014 GOALS:

*12 pounds to go!

*EXERCISE 4 to 6 times a week! Mixing it up with YOGA, PILATES, STRENGTH TRAINING, CARDIO, AEROBICS and DANCE!

*EAT MORE VEGETABLES & FRUIT!
*TAKE IN 2tbsp of OMEGA OIL(healthy fat) daily!
*DRINK daily 6-8 cups of WATER! (later on 8-10 cups)

*GET at least 6-8 hours of SLEEP!

*LIVE by the "LAW OF ATTRACTION"! (YOU GET WHAT YOU FOCUS ON!
I WANT GOOD HEALTH!)

*LEARN TO PLAY THE PAN-FLUTE!

*WORK ON MY BUSINESS!

*LEARN TO PLAY THE PIANO!

JUST GET STARTED!!


EXERCISE PROGRAM:

*Exercise at least 30-60 minutes 4 to 6 times a week

AEROBICS
CARDIO
STRENGTH TRAINING
ISOMETRIC
DANCE
YOGA
PILATES
OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES

DIET:

*Eat daily 1200-1550 calories

*Eat 50% CARBS
* Eat 30% PROTEIN
* EAT 20% FAT -- I WAS TOLD by my Doctor TO EAT MORE FAT AND I ENDED UP GAINING THE WEIGHT BACK WITH THAT ADVICE!

*Reduce surgery snacks
*CUT DOWN ON SALT
*Drink daily 6-8 cups of water and eventually to 8-10 cups.

MIND BODY AND SPIRIT:

Put into practice daily the "LAW OF ATTRACTION"!

(Like ATTRACTS Like... feeel what you want and magnetize it in!)

I had a very nice Easter!!!!!!!! I had to work but got off at 5 on Sunday so I had Easter Dinner with my mom on Saturday night. She got me this awesome pair of tennis shoes!!!!! LOL I actually walked the soles off one of my favorite pair.

Oh, I see....did you change the colour of your page since last time? If so, I can see this quite well!!
It's the darker colours I can't see!! I wish Sparks would give us the option to have a larger font, though, I have to use a specific pair of glasses to read the computer, & I just broke them, the arm snapped off, they were just cheapies, & don't show what magnification they are, so...sigh...replacing them is gonna be a challenge....if & when I have the money!! lol...

Thanks for the goodie....you can change the font, but not the size, (on your Spark Page) if this is what you are looking for....
if you are using Firefox, you can change the size of the general font. On top left, go to view, then zoom....zoom in to make the text larger, or zoom out to make text smaller, to make it really big, do this several times....
