Yes I Can, Yes I Will!

Hi everyone. Thank you for visiting my page. My name is Diane. I am 51 years old and have been struggling with my weight since I was in my early teens. I have lost and regained hundreds of pounds over the years. It is very frustrating, but I know that I need to try again. I am over 100 pounds overweight and have a family history of obesity-related diseases. If not now, then when?

My Goals:
My goals are to work through my emotional overeating issues. I truly believe that once I am able to tackle the root causes of why I shove my feelings down with food rather than facing them head on, I will be able to finally lose this weight and more importantly, keep it off! I am looking for friends to help me in this quest, and would love to help them on their journey. Please feel free to add me to your friends!

My Program:
I am adopting the WW Flex Points approach, but adapting it to my own approach. I am not going to consider any food off limits, but will practice portion control as often as I can. I also plan to front-load my meals with lots of fruits and veggies and MOVE MOVE MOVE!

Personal Information:
I live in a small town north of San Diego. It is a wonderful place to live with beautiful weather and I have no excuse not to enjoy all types of physical activity! I enjoy swimming and hiking and will try anything (at least) once!

Other Information:
I love to read, connect with friends and families on facebook and Pinterest and cook dinner most nights. I don't love to do housework, but I force myself as often as I can!

Yes, if your niece will reach out for help, she will get some. I hope she decides to do that, and I hope she does a lot of growing up. I've always heard it said that you can't have a baby without becoming a changed person. Hopefully it will change her for the better!

And so glad the text wasn't yellow! lol

emoticon Just stopping by with Friday's food for thought by Carl Jung:

"We cannot change anything unless we accept it."

So, my wish for you is that you accept what your goals are so that you can change them and achieve them. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon Have a Fabulously Fit Friday! emoticon emoticon

It's awesome that your mom made sure you all learned to swim. I took lessons when I was very young, but never truly learned. My school didn't have a pool or swim team, so I never learned later either. Never stopped me from loving the water though!

It's really great that you're getting back to swimming. It's an awesome workout... even when you can't actually swim! Haha

I guess the challenge is already working if it got us outside exercising on a day we would normally have rested. I hope you have a wonderful swim!
