Hi! I joined Sparkpeople in July 2012 when I was at 165 pounds (I'm 5'3"). I previously had lost 23 pounds on my own since December of 2011. I hit my goal weight of 150 in September 2012 and have lost 10 more pounds since (as of March 2013). I did all of this through my diet. I love to eat, and I don't feel deprived. I also believe that cooking healthy meals was my #1 key to success.

My Goals:
I have hit my weight loss goals, so now I am working on eating healthy well-rounded meals and improving overall nutrition.

My Program:
I cook dinner at least 5 nights a week, and bring my lunch to work 4 days a week. I believe in a moderate approach to eating, and manage to fit almost everything into my eating plans, including wine, cheese, and sweets. I don't believe in cutting anything out.

Personal Information:
I'm 30 years old, and am originally from a small town in Central California. I spent 2003-2010 living in Chicago, then went back to California, then moved to Colorado in May of 2012. I live here out in the middle of nowhere a bit NE of Denver, with my boyfriend and basset hound.

Thanks for the blog comment. I did get the oatmeal with the eggs the next day. Much bigger breakfast calorie wise, but it did keep me plenty full until lunch where I was able to get a grilled chicken breast so that all worked out perfectly

Your photos are inspiring! You are my goal weight twin, I am about the same height, currently 177 and 150 is my goal. The after photo shows how I used to look and could look like again! Congrats on the weight loss!
