Its now October 2016 and I continue to struggle with weight problem. I'm back at 240 lbs and trying to get motivated to get healthy again. Due to high blood pressure and cholesterol my doctor put me on medicine that I've been taking for over a year. I want to not only lose the weight but get off the medications.

So its May 2011 and I've come back to Spark because I've regained the weight I had lost (a number of times). Am feeling upset with myself and trying to get strength to get back to a healthy diet I had in the past where I felt better. Have some health problems now that are forcing me to change my lifestyle. Need lots of support and encouragement. Thanks for stopping by....

Thanks for stopping by and feel free to send me a note any time! Here's my story...I have had weight fluctuations ever since I was a teenager. I am now the heaviest I've ever been in my life. In July 2007 I had health problems and my doctor wanted me to start taking medicine for high blood pressure and high cholesterol. I don't like to take medicine! So, he told me that if I lost 20 pounds in 3 months, lowered both blood pressure and cholesterol, he would re-evaluate me. I lost 30 pounds, lowered my blood pressure and cholesterol. So, I don't have to take any medicine! I want to continue on and get healthier. I truly hope the support at SparkPeople will help keep me motivated so I can lose weight. Jan 2008 update: I've joined a 12-week challenge group to try and get extra motivation to eat healthier and exercise more every day.

Update Feb 25, 2009: So, I've been away from Spark for over 1 year, gone back to my old habits of eating whatever I want and no exercise. I've gained back all the weight I lost. I don't feel energetic anymore and I'm really beating up on myself. But, today I'm starting over again at 236 lbs!! I'm going to try really hard to commit and make me Number 1 so I can take care of my health. Considering writing a daily blog and joining support groups again. But for now, I just need to concentrate on eating healthy and getting exercise in my routine every day. If you've gotten through all this story, please send me a note of encouragement...I need all the help I can get. : )

Update March 12, 2009: So another year has passed and I'm back again weighing 235 lbs. I want to lose weight and be healthy and I'm making the commitment (again) to start living a healthy lifestyle. I'm changing my goal weight from 160 to 200 and getting back on track. I am going to start a search for a group that I fit in to get support.

Update 2010: Gained back weight again! New start again! I just love to "eat"..............Need to find replacement activities that give more satisfaction than eating and gaining pounds!!!!
