ZANYGIRL1 is a SparkPeople Motivator!
Welcome to my page. I'm Karen, I'm 59, live in Illinois, and I started on SP in 2011. I was only on here for 6 months, then left until November, 2013. The first time I was dieting and trying to lose weight. But now I've made a commitment to myself to get healthy and fit, so I will live a longer and more enjoyable life. I'm here for the long haul!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My goals are to drink at least 8 glasses of water a day, exercise more and try getting at least 8 hours of sleep a night. I will have more later!
My name is Karen, I live in Illinois, not far from St. Louis. I'm married to the greatest guy on the planet (I might be alittle biased), we have 5 grown kids and 6 grandkids.
I no longer work, because of a back injury,
but I keep myself busy. I
like doing projects on my computer (like business cards & special occasion invitations) for family and friends, crafts, DIY projects, and I LOVE to cook!!

REALITY OF LIFE
Life isn't just full of happiness...it's sunsets, it's love, and it's tears.
It's the thoughts of yesterdays memories, that can wash away all our fears.
It's that very painful experience, that each one of us has had.
It's the laughter that fills the air,It's the tears when you are sad.
It's loving that someone special, that at one time made you smile.
It's the pain of losing that person, but the memories that make it worthwhile.
It's that child in every one of us, although in time we'll all be old.
It's the good times we'll never forget, and the memories we'll always hold.
It's the hug that we all need, when we'd rather drown in our sorrow.
It's the hope in every one of us, that makes us hold on for tomorrow.
Isn't "LIFE" Grand?

An Irishman was flustered not being able to find a parking space in a large mall's parking lot.
"Lord,"he prayed,"I can't stand this.If you open a space up for me,I swear I'll give up drinking me whiskey, and I promise to go to church every Sunday."
Suddenly, the clouds parted and the sun shone on an empty parking spot. Without hesitation, the man said,"Never mind,I found one."

Anyone can work out for an hour,
but to control what you eat for the next 24 hours,
