Nearly three months into my journey (Sept. 21, '09 -- 227 lbs.) Not too shabby, huh? :-)

UPDATE: 1/25/10: The holidays kind of knocked me off-track. It's taken me this long to get back on. I will be tracking my food faithfully yet again. Taking it one day at a time... UPDATE: 9/23/09: SparkPeople has really changed my life (and I'm sure this is only the beginning)!!! For the past 3 months, I have been logging on faithfully, nearly every day. I track my food and my fitness. Those 40 lbs. that seemed to be stuck to my buddy are just melting away! So ...

I track my food and my fitness. Those 40 lbs. that seemed to be stuck to my buddy are just melting away! So far, I've lost over 15 of those lbs and I'm still going! I feel GREAT! 6/29/09: Hi, I'm a new Mom and a fairly new Wife (been married under 2 years). I've always struggled with my weight and with my pregnancy, I packed on another 70 lbs. I've lost about 30 of those lbs. pretty naturally but the last 40 lbs. seems to be want to be here to stay. I really need help. Being around to be able to run around after my son while he's young and watch him grow up is my biggest motivation. It's time for a lifestyle change!!!

My Goals:
I am so sick of being overweight. I just want to be healthy and fit for myself, my husband and most importantly, my young son!!!
My Program:
UPDATE: 9/23/09: The Nutrition Tracker is my very best friend! (LOL!) I use it everyday to make sure I don't go over my calories. But now, I'm also using to make sure that I get the right amount of nutrients into my diet on a daily basis. (Something I most definitely had never done before now.) 6/29/09: Right now, I'm doing my best to be aware of what I put in my body. I'm starting out slowly. Trying to measure what I eat and realize how many calories go into my body. Keeping a food journal has caused me to start reading labels. Something I've never really done before!!!
