This doesn't feel so cliche anymore.

Day 1: I'm a twenty-something looking to improve her body image - like everyone else in my generation. Giving this a go for the third time around and looking to find the light at the end of the tunnel, rather than just stopping short and turning around.

Day 100: My original page title was "This is beginning to feel cliche". It doesn't anymore. I'm learning solutions and coping mechanisms for the emotional dependency and stress related relationship I had with food and how to live ...
Day 1: I'm a twenty-something looking to improve her body image - like everyone else in my generation. Giving this a go for the third time around and looking to find the light at the end of the tunnel, rather than just stopping short and turning around.

Day 100: My original page title was "This is beginning to feel cliche". It doesn't anymore. I'm learning solutions and coping mechanisms for the emotional dependency and stress related relationship I had with food and how to live a life of balance. I don't have it all figured out, but I'm growing and shrinking through this process and that's all I can ask for.

Day 180: On day 1 it felt impossible, on day 100 it felt manageable, and at 6 months it (and I) feel worth it.

Day 320: Following all SP has to offer, I lost 88 pounds in 10 months and feel healthier - mentally and physically - but now it's time for a whole new experience. Just about finished with my first trimester and trying to learn a whole new set of ropes.

10/2013 - 06/2014: First Pregnancy... gulp.

Day 1 all over again. I gave birth to a beautiful baby girl on June 10th 2014 and am beginning this adventure all over again, but with an entirely different perspective.

My Goals:
I aim to find happiness in healthiness - all on my own.

This August (2013) my husband and I are spending time in the great outdoors of Arizona and I want to be able to enjoy ALL of it, which requires being in some seriously good shape.

UPDATE: Weight loss is what allowed me to see the bottom & top of the Grand Canyon as well as a whole lot of other hiking - 36 miles in 5 days!

Goal #1: Healthy, well balanced eating habits
Obtained:
01.23.13 (-12)

Goal #2: 30 minutes of cardio, four days a week
Obtained: 02.14.13 (-18)

Goal #3: "Eat Better. Feel Fitter" Challenge.
01.23.13 - 02.20.13 (-19)

Goal #4: "Stress Buster" Challenge.
02.18.13 - 03.15.13 (-26)

Goal #5: 40-45 minutes of fitness, 5 days a week 04.16.13 (-38)

Goal #6: 3 days of strength training and inclusion of high intensity workouts. 05.30.13 (-50)

Goal #7: Increase protein and decrease sodium. 07.01.13

My Program:
*NEW* pregnancy goal list:

1.) I will consume at least 10 glasses of water daily.

2.) I will make a conscious effort to eat a min of 4 servings of freggies daily.

3.) I will think before I dine because emotional eating and frivolous cravings will get me nowhere.

4.) I will only weigh myself one day a week (Wednesday) and no matter the outcome, log it on SP.

5.) I will not allow the scale to affect my ability to enjoy this pregnancy. I will enjoy this pregnancy.

6.) I will invest 30 minutes of cardio at least 3 days a week because labor is its own marathon.

7.) I will take a daily prenatal vitamin, but listen to my body for other needs like vitamin C and calcium.

Other Information:
Former competitive swimmer, all the way through college, now teaching high school English and learning how to balance parenthood.
