If you want to fly with the Banshees, you have to go where the Banshees are. Whooah!!!

I hunt the Niobrara River and Fort Robinson area in Nebraska for whitetail, mule deer, and turkey. I hunt the Mogollon Rim for elk and the White Mountains for turkey in Arizona. I have 151 acres on the Niobrara River with 3/4 mile of river frontage. Just started single action shooting and cowboy fastdraw. I shoot the 45 Colt. Alias is Alleluia Ruah.

The Lord did not make us to be ill, fat, or recumbent!

My Goals:
To get my body fat to 22% while being fit and in condition to hike and hunt.

My Program:
I follow the recommendation of Dr. Sears in "Enter the Zone" which says that we should eat what we were genetically made to eat. Protein should be at a 75% ratio with carbs. Fats don't really matter. It is the carbs that make you gain weight.

Other Information:
The blue monkeys in Avatar were a faith-based, spirit-filled, prayful, grateful, fit, people. Sort of what we would be if we ate and did what we should. The Lord did not make us to be fat, ill, or recumbent.

She did so well. It was the first time she actually shot the gun. We had her dry fire a million times. The doe came out right in front of her and stood broadside at 90 yards. She dropped her. Hugs, tears, high-fives...I was so glad my hubby and I were both there to share in the special moment with her. She then helped with all the processing. I must admit I have a pretty special little girl and I am definitely a proud momma!

Sorry I haven't been around a lot lately. With vacation/camping and kids starting back to school, I've just been too busy to do much of anything else. My daughter had a milestone the other day. We purchased her first hunting license. She still hasn't stopped smiling. Those squirrels better watch out next weekend!

The arms doing well. She is coming to terms with the fact she can't do a lot of what she normally did. She is taking a couple fun classes in summer school (Fun with Nature and a Flower/Plants class) so she is preoccupied with those. Which helps. Luckily it was her left arm or else she'd be complaining a lot more. It is like having a little kid again because I have to help her get ready in the morning...getting dressed and brushing hair. I have to make a point to build in extra time in my morning routine for that.
