Accurately tracking my food and fitness is what keeps me maintaining my weight loss. Thanks to Sparkpeople for getting me there!
Having RA since age 6.5, and years of hospital stays and surgeries (38 operations and counting) have kept me on a weight loss roller coaster my entire adult life. I have five artificial joints, but love to work out, the higher intensity the better. I have three forms of arthritis destroying my body, but fight to keep moving every body part they damage. That is all that stands between me and a wheelchair. My favorite fitness classes are Boxercise, Step & Zumba! My trusty elliptical keeps me moving on the days I can't get out. Winters are long and hard here and even more challenging to keep moving.
I remain on Sparkpeople to keep up with the great friends I have made!! They are my role models and supporters Thanks for stopping by and taking the time to read this!

Loved your comment on my "fun" blog and actually I totally agree with you. Although I eat "the same" day after day for maximum nutrition, I do in fact change up the omelettes, the salads and the soups with different choices of fruits and veggies, different flavourings and spices, different cooking methods which vary the textures (steaming versus roasting versus stir frying . . . )

Yup, absolutely am in your camp on this (as so much else!!)

Thanks Linda! Dr. Joel Wallach on Youtube and CriticalHealthnews.com pretty much says the same thing of what you're hearing online about Cancer, etc. He is so good with his information about all health matters...have learned a lot from him! Have a good weekend!! emoticon emoticon emoticon

hi Linda. Thanks for the comments on my page and blog. Yes we do have a little fiber optic tree that is very pretty. It's about 18" high.

It is potassium that is so good for leg cramps. Maybe you could tolerate that? I have a chronic deficiency that and have to take two "horse pills" daily. Whenever I'm in the hospital I've been given about 10 of those pills daily. emoticon

Unfortunately I did too much on my foot yesterday....and now it hurts like it did when I had injured it before! I'm really getting sick of this. I'm afraid I will never walk again. It is horribly discouraging.

To top it off my UTI is still hanging around. I have to go and get it cultured today. The problem is that I'm allergic to every antibiotic that they would want to use.
well have a good day. Thanks for being such a great friend!

hi Linda! Unfortunately there are only 2 oral antibiotics I can take due to allergies. And I've already taken both of these for this UTI. The next step -if my kidneys are involved- would be a hospital stay for IV ABX. I'm not positive about whether or not they are...Pain has fluctuated all day long...hard to know.

I ate breakfast out at a Perkins which is similar to iHop. I had pumpkin pancakes and bacon and scrambled eggs. Not bad except for the bacon and about one too many pancakes. I didn't finish the pancakes---left 2 or 3 of them on the plate. So that was the treat I'd been craving. We went to Walmart and I didn't buy anything bad. Time to get back in the saddle.

emoticon Adding strength training and more non starchy veggies will help to get things going again. Looking to see if SP has some good strength training videos.
