Accurately tracking my food and fitness is what keeps me maintaining my weight loss. Thanks to Sparkpeople for getting me there!
Having RA since age 6.5, and years of hospital stays and surgeries (38 operations and counting) have kept me on a weight loss roller coaster my entire adult life. I have five artificial joints, but love to work out, the higher intensity the better. I have three forms of arthritis destroying my body, but fight to keep moving every body part they damage. That is all that stands between me and a wheelchair. My favorite fitness classes are Boxercise, Step & Zumba! My trusty elliptical keeps me moving on the days I can't get out. Winters are long and hard here and even more challenging to keep moving.
I remain on Sparkpeople to keep up with the great friends I have made!! They are my role models and supporters Thanks for stopping by and taking the time to read this!

Thanks for reading and commenting on my "little things" blog and for your kind words about Cora.
It sort of surprised me when my weight ticked down a notch when we got her. I know some maintainers like to have a range of +/- 3 or 5% but that's too much for me. I want to stay right in the 138 - 143 range and have been there for years. These little deviations don't really matter. But as you say, vigilance is critical.

Ever hear of the AIP Diet? Very interesting...things on there to not eat I was surprised at. Also trying an antioxidant called Astaxanthin, 6000 times stronger than Vitamin C! Supposed to be good for general pain, joints, heart, skin, brain and eyes. So far no bad effects from it. :-)

AFTER the injury yesterday I did get into my gym outfit and planned at least upper body weights: we do have an arm cycle too. But . . . just too painful to contemplate the trip from the car into the building and back out again. I am sure that whether break or sprain that will subside . . . and nothing in comparison with the pain you've cheerfully endured for decades. Gotta model myself on YOU!!!
