Many people rush through weight loss and exercise. It is much better if you go slower . Be a turtle .
Most people give up way to much when they start a weight loss strategy and then they give up all together. It is better to start slow , have half a soda , and then a third and then none, Give up one vice at a time and wait for it to stick. Then begin another .
The same with exercise . Sometimes it is hard for people to do an hour or even a half during the day so they give up. Like Spark Guy says, start with ten minutes a day . When you can do that every day then shoot for more. You can also get exercise in during commercials , walk your kids soccer fields . Jump rope for ten minutes.
Speaking of which you are not going to able to jump rope for ten minutes the first time or maybe not the tenth . But do it any way practice makes perfect.
You should slowly be making strides in exercise and eating. Do to much and you risk an injury or a sickness.
A lot of people won't join a ninety day fitness routine , or a Zumba class . Because it is too hard . If you go slowly it is doable, I do p90x3 and there were moves that took me almost 90 days to learn. I learned to modify a lot and as I got stronger the moves just came to me. Exercise is not all about power and speed but also about balance and good form.
So remember when it comes to exercise and losing weight be a turtle . Be proud to move slowly. Hugs , Happiness and healthy Living

There is so much learning to be had in this world . so many lessons to learn .Most things both good and bad happen for a reason it is our job to find the meaning and lesson.
Here is some of the knowledge I learned , At thirteen we lost our house to a fire. The firefighter said it was a miracle we all survived, I learned that people are more important than possessions . I learned that you can get by with less. We got to live for six months with my grandma and were safe from my parents constant fighting and my fathers drinking , He didn't dare do it in my grandparents presence, We learned many lessons from my grandparents we got to see how people in love really behave , And we got stronger so when my parents eventually divorced we could handle it better.
My grandma was my best friend and strongest supporter . When she died , I almost followed , but I became so much stronger on my own then I ever thought possible . I learned that when a person dies you can still take their love and spirit with you ,love never dies .
At twenty I was a victim of date rape that haunted me for decades . I learned that bad things often happen to good people . That you should never let a bad incident define you. That for every bad person their are hundreds of good and you should always look for the good in others.
At thirty we lost our house to foreclosure, I learned that life is not always roses . That when bad things happen you can turn it around and rise from the ashes . I learned that money isn't everything .
At forty I got a pacemaker , I learned that your body may sometimes fail you . That you need to nourish it and get as much exercise in that you can handle. Never concentrate on what you can't do concentrate on what you can . If one body parts fails you their are others that are fine exercise those .
I believe that most things happen for a reason , I was meant to find this great site , So I could be touched by the great people here. Maybe I was brought here to help someone. I know I am deeply touched by the knowledge you all give me , the lessons you teach me . I learn so much here not just about weight loss but about life . I am honored to be your friend . Our world is a none stop whirlwind . Sometimes you feel like your on a merry go round and you can't get off, Work , kids , appointments, obligations , housework , yard work , friends and parties , families and get togethers . It never stops .
Well if we are going to survive and keep our sanity we need to slow way down . Be a turtle not a hare . We need to breathe become one with nature
It's not a race
And also remember you can't smell the flowers if you keep pissing in them .
Stop messing with your life keep the parties and the overtime to a minimum . Eat only healthy food whenever possible and drink water most times . Get you exercise and your relaxation in . and sleep sleep sleep It is the best thing you can do for you .
Today I did not exercise it is my day off , I switched because Sunday is usually my day off. Today I worked 8 hours overtime . Did three loads of laundry , went to the grocery store put everything away , emptied the dish washer and vacuumed the house.
Tonight I will sleep like a vampire And tomorrow after my work out I will stop and smell the flowers and relax and rejuvenate. I will get my healthy lunches ready or the week and be ready for some more overtime . Remember to slow down and enjoy life hugs , happiness and healthy living
