Kick Your Way Through

Thursday, October 30, 2014

" When a door is hard to open, and if nothing else works ,sometimes you just have to rear back and kick to open." Muriel Siebert

I don't do p90x3 Pilates x or my other workouts at four in the morning emoticon because I love it, Believe me it is winning me over . No one likes to do anything at 4 am But I do it......

Because their are some doors that I need to kick open in regards to health and well being. emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

I do it for better sleep , a healthy glow , a more centered and calmer mind. To start my day of right with a bang. emoticon I do it for stronger muscles and joints .I do it for a leaner toner torso.

I do it for me emoticon emoticon Because I am worth it. My health is my number one priority . That's why I try to eat clean 80 percent of the time . I try to workout for 30 minutes a day followed some time during the day by a 30 minute or more walk.

So come join me . emoticon emoticon emoticon We are so worthy of kicking a lot of doors open to a happier healthier life .Hugs, Happiness and Healthy Living emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

Roar Like a Lion

Wednesday, October 29, 2014

" I once complained to my father that I didn't seem to be able to do things the same way other people did . Dad's advice? Margo ,don't be a sheep. People hate sheep. People eat sheep. "Margo Kaufman

My husband caught me doing my p90x3 at 4am this morning. he watched in the shadows . He later exclaimed that it looked like I was dong a whole other workout. Of course it did I am not an elite athlete . I do not exercise for hours a day , nor do I look like a super model and there is no pause wait while I get in better form and fix my hair in my house.

I do the best I can with what I can work with . I modify , I stop and rest , sometimes I throw in my own thing . I can . Because I am me.

That's how I live my life being the best me I can be. If that means my eating is off a time or two ,okay . If that means my exercise is a little different that's okay too. If it means I am a little quieter than most . That's okay too.

Be the best You there is . Roar your own way . Sometimes my roar sounds a little like a chicken , but it is all okay . It is okay to be You. Just be the best you ,you know how and Love Yourself. Hugs, Happiness and Healthy Living

Move Because Were Meant To

Tuesday, October 28, 2014

" You're never as good as everyone tells you when you win, and your never as bad as they say when you lose." Lou Holtz

Why are you exercising to lose weight , look good , get more toned , have a better and stronger heart? Well those are all great reasons . Exercising does so much for us .

But is it enough? One hour of sitting on an exercise bike will not help much if you have an hour ride in to work , and then sit at your desk all day . Then when you get home you exercised so you can lounge on the couch for hours. Wrong!!!!!!

More and more we are finding out that the leanest toniest people move all day. They park far from work and Walk. They walk during their breaks and lunches . They go home from work and mow the grass, tidy the house , and chop some wood. They carry their own groceries in and don't make the kids do it. They stand more than they sit.

So yes Exercise every day but to be a winner and then a loser MOVE YOUR BODY ALL DAY!!!! That is my best weight loss secret and something I am working on. Hugs, Happiness and Healthy Living

We just got back from Germany & France which was my 1st time in Europe. I was so impressed with all the walking everyone does no matter how old they were. I even saw people who had to be in their 80's-90's riding bicycles or walking everywhere. It was quite inspirational so I have "upped my game" so to speak since I returned. DH & I walked and climbed hills or stairs daily while we were there which was 2 wks.

I have an office desk job - so I walk on my lunch

I, also, have to get better about coming home from work

Move Forward With Purpose

Monday, October 27, 2014

"One thing you cannot afford to do----that's to feel sorry for yourself." Woody Hayes

It is normal to feel sorry for yourself when you are hurt or injured or your world is crumbling down on you . It's not a great idea to wallow this way for long.

Why? You need a plan . An idea , some motivation to get you out of the situation,

You need to call the doctor , or your financial planner or your psychiatrist, someone in authority that can help you get out of this mess.

Then you need to listen to their advice and move forward. There a millions of people in the same boat as you . The difference is some of them are rowing forward and you are just sitting still letting the currant take you.

Get in charge be proactive, seek out your destiny.
If you hurt your shoulder rely more on your legs when you exercise . Rest ice heat and recover .
If it's financial get a second job, or drop something, your cable ,your cell phone , find a way.
If you are having anxiety or depression that has you at a stand still get medical advice and then get outside as much as possible in the fresh clean air and sunshine and move your body.

Just remember lots of people are with you , your friends, family and the people here . You can move forward . Hugs , Happiness and Healthy Living

Never Hurry and Never Worry

Sunday, October 26, 2014

" Never hurry and never worry." E.B. White

I saw an article on facebook yesterday . Yeah I go to the old time waster for time to time , after all my work is done right .Lol. Well anyway this article was from Always and they asked people to run like a girl. They ran pretty comically like you would guess . Then they asked them what running like a girl meant. If it was a put down? Then they asked if they wanted a redo and how would you really run . It's great you should look it up sometime .

Today I went for a walk it was a cold blustery day . I had my dog and my hood was up but I was looking for my gloves. I wasn't in a hurry and I didn't have time to think of all my worries, good thing . So I thought of going home . Then I thought I have to get warm So....

Let's run,. But I run like a girl.!!! The neighbors will watch and laugh . I'm old I shouldn't run any way . If I run that will cut my walk time down. I thought of that commercial .

And I ran.
Because I could .
I ran like a 55 year old women .
With spirit and pride
I ran for fun for the joy of it.
I ran sprints around the block stopping when miss Mischa needed a rest . emoticon

I ran farther than I thought I could emoticon emoticon emoticon

Our walk run lasted longer than my regular walk. I forgot to care if the neighbors were saying there goes that crazy lady again doesn't she know how old she is, emoticon emoticon

I ran like a girl !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now for my cool down and some stretching exercises .What did you do today ?Whatever it is remember to never hurry or worry, do things for the fun in them . Enjoy this blessed Sunday . But your mark on it and make it special . Hugs , Happiness and Healthy Living

If they are watching, they may be saying "wow, look at that gal go! Good for her" because that is what I would be saying. I see other athletes out running and walking when I am out there and sometimes they look like they run marathons and sometimes they look like me, thinking dog gonnit, if others can do this, then so can I. I don't care if people like the way I look when I run, then they shouldn't look and quite frankly, I am sure you look awesome when you run! WOO HOO! Way to go!
