Let's get Healthy

I have a confession to make I tried diets.!! I know gasp horror . I even tried losing weight . But I failed why because of this horrid thing emoticon . You see even when I was succeeding I was never often happy. emoticon emoticon

Every day would look like this emoticon emoticon the next emoticon emoticon and the next emoticon emoticon

So now I strive to be Healthy and I am succeeding on all fronts .

My cup of green tea emoticon emoticon . My oatmeal with blueberries for breakfast emoticon emoticon My healthy salad for lunch emoticon emoticon . My daily workout emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon Vegetables and fish for supper emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

This all gives me more and better toned muscles , a leaner physique . I have stronger cells to ward off colds. I have better skin and thicker hair , brighter eyes and a much happier disposition . Plus I am maintaining or losing weight every week.

No more emoticon emoticon Yes I still stand on the thing once in a while but I no longer let it define me. I am Healthy Now and Forever!!!! Come Join me get off the scale and into being Healthy and Happy. Hugs, Happiness and Healthy Living

    I am completely with you Joanne! I am sure I have tried every new gimmicky diet (and "This plan works!") only to find ......... they do NOT! (I finally smartened up when my hubby say my new book and commented .......... "Oh--another book?" w/ tongue in cheek! Imagine how much emoticon is spent (or wasted) on this foolishness! .......... I am just making health my priority and staying active and stop worrying about every little thing .............. Relax more with it as we do what we know what to do!

Be a Turtle

Many people rush through weight loss and exercise. It is much better if you go slower . Be a turtle .

Most people give up way to much when they start a weight loss strategy and then they give up all together. It is better to start slow , have half a soda , and then a third and then none, Give up one vice at a time and wait for it to stick. Then begin another .

The same with exercise . Sometimes it is hard for people to do an hour or even a half during the day so they give up. Like Spark Guy says, start with ten minutes a day . When you can do that every day then shoot for more. You can also get exercise in during commercials , walk your kids soccer fields . Jump rope for ten minutes.

Speaking of which you are not going to able to jump rope for ten minutes the first time or maybe not the tenth . But do it any way practice makes perfect.

You should slowly be making strides in exercise and eating. Do to much and you risk an injury or a sickness.

A lot of people won't join a ninety day fitness routine , or a Zumba class . Because it is too hard . If you go slowly it is doable, I do p90x3 and there were moves that took me almost 90 days to learn. I learned to modify a lot and as I got stronger the moves just came to me. Exercise is not all about power and speed but also about balance and good form.

So remember when it comes to exercise and losing weight be a turtle . Be proud to move slowly. Hugs , Happiness and healthy Living

Risky Business

Losing weight and exercising is risky business.

Will my family accept the new me?

Can I still hang out with my friends and eat salad while they eat pizza.?

Can I learn to say no , to the after work party and go to yoga class instead?

How will my body react to new foods?

Will I lose my friends with this new way of eating?

If I eat this cookie after abstaining for six months will I binge again?

I am trying Zumba for the first time will people laugh at me?

Can I fit an hour a day of exercise in and will my family accept this or feel abandoned .?

Now that I bought all this new healthy food will I ever learn how to cook it properly ?

Go Ahead . Step Forward. It is not to late > emoticon emoticon emoticon
