I want to be a Mom Spark Team Leader

Saturday, January 25, 2014

Greetings,

My name is Wenona and I am the New Team Leader of I want to be a Mom Spark Team at SparkPeople.com. A little about myself. I am 40 years old. I have had two miscarriages one because of domestic violence from my ex. I know what it feels like to be pregnant, but I have never had the opportunity to carry my babies full term. I have tasted what it was like to carry new life growing inside of me. Now because I have PTSD from my traumatic history and the medications I take add a lot of weight to me plus I am physically disabled I am currently weighing 389 pounds. I feel very discouraged because of my age and all the trauma and limitations put on me. But I know this God gave me a dream of giving birth to my own children.

I am Native American enrolled in the Mohican tribe and Ojibwe and it would bring me so much joy to give birth to another generation of Native American children in my family and tribes. I would love to pass on all the Native American prophecies and teachings to my children as well as Ojibwe language and spirituality and Celtic spirituality. I thought maybe it was too late. I never properly grieved the losses of my two unborn children. But I thought if this is the last thing I can do, I want to try again and be a mom. I want to get up and try again. I want to try to prepare my body for children.

I have a cousin who is 43 and she is pregnant. And hearing her story gives me such hope that it's not too late for me. I have to try. I don't think I can live with myself if I gave up on my dreams. I strongly believe that God gave me this dream for a reason and I have to find out why. I have to do everything I can while I am still alive.

So if you will accept me as your new Spark Team Leader for I want to be a MOM Spark Team it would give me much joy. I want to hear your stories. I want us to be able to share information. I want this group to grow in a good way. I pray to God to help me please. I have never done this major weight loss consciously to get pregnant before. And I know all my past issues are going to come up as I walk down this path. It's very important to me.

Thank you for your time.

Good luck! Don't worry about age,you could still give birth.I had a daughter at 17.I had married a crop duster (DDT etc in the 1960s)as a result I couldn't carry another child to birth. My husband would come home covered in chemicals.I worried that our young daughter would have problems having children.Twenty years later ,I had a son and 2 1/2 years later a daughter. No birth defects.I was in my early 40s.My oldest daughter had two children ,both daughters. One does have learning disabilities. My younger children are now 23 and 26.No grand children from them yet.My 23 year old daughter is in the army and my 26 yr old son is a full time college student. My oldest works in radio in Denver ,Colorado. Don't give up hope! emoticon

Anything is possible! I had a still birth in July 2004 that sent me spiralling into depression. I gained over 100 pounds in less than a year. By 2005 I wore a size 26W and weighed over 350+. In 2012 I had made it down to 246 (I didn't try very hard all those years). At 246 pounds for the first time since my still birth in 2004 I got pregnant. They ruled it a partial molar but, it was conception none the less. I got serious about losing weight. We went on to have two more losses within about 6 months the doctor called one a spontanious abortion and the other failed to show any signs of growth by week 8. Now, I weigh 167 and I am currently 10 weeks pregnant with a so far healthy and very alive baby with a very strong heartbeat! A specialist in 2005 told me then at the age of 18 I would NEVER have chilidren. I suffer from PCOS, endimetriosis, and pre-diabetes. He was so wrong! Losing weight to fulfill your dream of becoming a mother was my best motivation. Best of luck! I wish you well!!!

What is a Rainbow Warrior Artist?

What is a Rainbow Warrior Artist?

When I was 16, I was in a foster home being sexually assaulted by a 26 year old man. Trapped with no where else to go, I went within and was born the vision of the White Turtle Rainbow. A power animal flying with a Rainbow which represents love is what was here to teach me about self love. I began to pray with tobacco and asked Great Creator for an Indian name, a teacher, and to serve the Great Creator. Within a short amount of time I was rescued by a Medicine Woman from my tribe who became my foster mother, teacher, and had a vision of my Indian name Wabun Anung which means Morning Star. I shared with this Medicine Woman my vision of the White Turtle Rainbow and that is when she said I am a Rainbow Warrior of the Native American Rainbow Warrior prophecy. The Native American people’s spirit being reborn from the past into bodies of the colors of the rainbow to heal Mother Earth. She said I have come to be a bridge builder among people.

Over time I saw the power of building a bridge within yourself in the form of self love as the vehicle to heal ourselves and Mother Earth which we are living extensions. I am taking actions to live self love and hope to inspire others to live self love along with me. Together I hope a new movement built on prophecy and shared positive actions will create a positive force as the White Turtle Rainbow Movement as the dawn of the new Earth is being born. As a Rainbow Warrior Artist, I see myself embracing the Native American prophecy and teachings of the Rainbow Warrior in my profession as a self employed Artist. My Artistic Creations reflect the expression of self love through White Turtle Rainbow. As I use my creativity I honor the Great Creator as I explore and share self love in my day to day life.

I am dedicating my Facebook Artist Page https://www.facebook.com/WhiteTurtleRainbo
w and my Tumblr http://white-turtle-rainbow.tumblr.com/ to 365 days of Self Love. If you have any suggestions or resources of self love you can share with me so I can experiment with them from now during this year this would really help a lot! Thanks!

Inspired by a Spark Vlogger

Thursday, November 14, 2013

I was just inspired by another vlogger on Spark People. I love to vlog. Lately, because I am on medical leave from work and going through physical therapy that I have had to put my daily vlogs on a back burner. Which makes me very sad because I aspired to be a daily vlogger. Daily Vlogger Charles Trippy went through brain surgery to remove brain cancer and he kept vlogging and texting, but then again he has a team with him including his wife to help him. I am pretty much on my own with my vlogs so I find that it's even hard to maintain the commitment to myself to vlog every day. I need to tell my Two Step story in vlogs. I need to share my recovery story. I also need to network with other Native American women YouTubers if I can find them. It's a challenge. I know I can do this and it's inspiring when I make progress. Since I am on the only one willing to vlog in my house and since I am on medical leave I am giving myself permission to take breaks to rest. I give myself permission to not be a perfect daily vlogger.

Love,

It's a great relief when you can give yourself the authority to not do something - great stress reliever as well.
Hope you're much better by now.

I'm very happy to hear that you are doing what is best for you to do. Rest and recuperate. There will be many vlogs in your future.

Personally I don't like watching them or doing them. Heck I don't even know how. LOL

May your recuperation be speedy and complete.
