NaNoWriMo! Sun, Nov 3, 2013
It's the Month of the NaNoWriMo and the Native American Heritage Month!
I'm so happy today! I went to Mukwonago for the Official NaNoWriMo Kick Off Party in my Waukesha region! I went with my new NaNoWriMo buddy Holly & we had a great time! We did some intriguing writing exercises from a guest speaker Rochelle Melander author of Write-A-Thon: Write Your Book in 26 Days. I met an Asian man when he heard that I was doing a Memoir about my Native American culture he informed earnestly that it's very important I record the traditions of my Mohican people. I won a prize!
My prize was a black book bag that was called "Between the Covers" with a picture of an open book. And inside was a bunch of supplies for an emergency writer's care package. There was ramen noodles, menotos, granola bars, journal, hand lotion, and other fun surprises. There was like 20 items in this bag to support my journey as a writer donated by the Mukwonago Library! How fun is that!
After the Kick Off Party I went to Milwaukee for the Autumn Pow Wow! I got some great footage of the PoW Wow that I am turning into a NaNoWriMo video today including my photos of the NaNoWriMo Kick Off Party!
