Hello everyone :D How is everyone doing? I am good. Well as most of you don't know I have started a new Job and well I am a waitress/dishwasher/cashier :D I like it and it keeps me busy and I feel like I stay active cause I am on my feet and walking so that's good. It can get a bit stressful when the restaurant gets busy and its demanding sometimes but you learn to deal with it my way of thinking is if you keep your head on straight and you just do your job youll be fine :D And the hours are not always the same which is good cause it gives you variety.
Now because I am a diabetic and have a job like this I carry snacks and make sure I have my breaks when I am suppose to and drink my water and I also take my insulin and blood meter to work with me to keep in check. Now either then all that what other suggestions would you have for me? Keep you all posted on how that all goes.
Ok so I was searching online on Sparkpeople and I am also interested in heart health so here is what I found with know your numbers:
BMI should be: 25 I am over by about 4 notches
Sodium Intake: 1500 well today I am at 1900 I think so far so that's not good.
Daily Exercise: 30 Mins well I work all day and am on my feet so I can do what I can do for exercise :D
Total Cholesterol: 200 All my cholesterol levels will be checked with my next blood test
Bad LDL Cholesterol:100 or lower
Good HDL Cholesterol:60 or higher
Vegetables and Fruits: 5 and more
Blood Pressure: 120/80 Will start checking it in the morning :D
Triglycerides:150 or lower
Waist Circumference:35 I am 38 or 39 so
Teaspoons of sugar: 6 I am at 7 teaspoons so far today I am converting militers to teaspoons.
Milligrams Of Cholesterol Daily: 300 I am doing good with this today.
Fasting blood glucose: 5.5 Mine hasn't been the greatest so far in the mornings and am trying to get them better. Keep you posted.
