I've decided to join the Airforce. I haven't told everybody but I'm working out still and doing my walks. I'm studying for the ASVAB and hopefully will pass with an amazing grade.

If there is any advice anyone can give me would be awesome. I want to give it my all and make my mom proud.

A couple months ago, she passed due to cancer(among other things). I promised her beforehand that I would so I intend to keep that promise.

Is wheat bread really that bad?

I just watched a video on how wheat bread is bad for you. I'm not sure what to make of this but I've heard and read most times than not that wheat bread is a good food to eat. There's another one that states orange juice from stores are bad for you because it contains a lot of sugar.

There are so many people saying what is and isn't good for you that they clash together and it can be confusing.

I'm not a health expert. Far from it. But why is it that people make this sound so confusing when they can simply state facts.

Granted I didn't have to see these videos but I want to get in shape and know what I can eat to increase my metabolism and muscle.

GOOD THINGS
1.Made my bed military style
2.Drinking water is becoming a habit now
3.Having a great start on classes
4.In a book club
5.Prayed to those who have to go out in the snow. That they may come home safely.
GOALS
1.To do a regular pushup
2.80 situps in 2 minutes
3.Finish book for bookclub
4.Schedule in reading time for English class
5.Lose 5 inches of core by August 1rst

Don't procrastinate in whatever you want to do. Remember to keep true to your word and always smile. If your day is turning out like crap, stop, take a deep breath, and list the 5 things that did go well. Even if it's something simple like making your bed or brushing your teeth. It's something good you did for yourself and that's what counts.

    I can't eat wheat bread because I have Celiac Disease. Anything with gluten makes me sick in my stomach and bowels. I don't know that bread in moderation is harmful otherwise. Moderation is the key.

    I, too, am confused by different reports and studies. Everything is good for you, everything is bad for you, etc. I've decided to just go with what makes me feel healthy. Too much wheat makes me feel bloated and gross, but a few servings a day, spaced out, is fine. I know other people who feel better having no wheat at all. Maybe you should do an experiment.

And I'm with you on the push ups. I really would like to be able to do one regulation push up in my life!

So today I really watched what I ate and it turns out that I was 37 calories short. That's a great way to start off the year. :)
This month, I see myself really watching what I eat.
This year, I see myself in shape and passing my classes.
In 3 years, I see myself with my Bachelor's degree.
In 5 years, I see myself with my Master's degree.
Today is a day that I try again. Even though it annoys me to keep falling down but I know that what matters is that I get up.

GOOD THINGS
1.Did some reading
2.Watched what I ate
3.Got fruit and vegetables from store
4.Drank a lot of water
5.Studied some words
GOALS
1.Increase my vocabulary
2.Getting my school books
3.Do a regular push up
4.Do 50 situps in 2 minutes
5.To get rid of the cyst in my hand

Great Bowling Day

Even though the day started off with me getting soaked by the lovely weather, I had a good day. Helped at church, washed a car for the first time, and I did well at bowling. I made a 132 average and it's normally 121.
PROGRESS
65 situps
85 crunches
42 leg raises
55 second plank

GOOD THINGS
1.Took the ASVAP test. (didn't do so well but I will try again)
2.Made my bed the Military way
3.Drank 64 oz of water
4.Watched what I ate
5.Treated myself for a great average

GOALS
1. To do 20 counter push ups in a row
2. Lose 5 inches off my core
3. Draw a picture each day
4. Make drinking water a habit
5. Get a job
