BLC26 expectations

Monday, September 22, 2014

Wow, didn't realize I haven't blogged for so long!! There's a Christmas tree on my last one!

I have pretty high expectations for this round of BLC. I sat out a couple of rounds. First because I was in so much pain with my hip and could barely walk, much less do all the exercise needed for BLC. Then because my mother and my MIL were very ill and both passed away within 10 days of each other. The hip is better and I'm ready to go! I did a lot of emotional eating. The moms illness was creating much more stress than I would admit to or even realize was happening. It was a couple of months after they passed before I realized that anxiety was gone, replaced by sadness but easier to deal with. I'm working on it.

My goals/expectations for BLC26:

I am going to lose 25 lbs. I know that seems like a lot but I very close to my highest weight and I think I can do it.

I am going to get back into the habit of exercising most days.

I am going to get stronger!!

You've certainly been through a lot of emotional periods! I'm glad that you're back on our team - you've been missed. The sadness will linger but it's time to focus on yourself. We're here for you!

2013 Marillac Christmas Tree

Sunday, November 10, 2013

Every year, my sisters and I decorate and donate a tree for the Marillac Center for Children. The trees are sold in a silent auction. This year our theme is "A Forest Celebration". We made many of the ornaments including twine balls, pine cone gnomes and slices of wood stamped with sayings and snowflakes. It turned out very pretty this year.

Cutest thing ever! Last tree house blog I promise but you've gotta see this!

Monday, August 26, 2013

So, as you know from my last blog, my husband and son built a tree house for my grandson and he loves it. Well...his puppy loves it too! Jessie is a 3 month old beagle/rottweiler mix although I really think she might be a treeing coon hound!

She climbs right back down, too! Silly puppy!

Logan's tree house

Sunday, August 25, 2013

My wonderful husband and son built this tree house for my grandson's birthday. Not quite done, it still needs to be painted and rails around the deck. We blindfolded Logan and surprised him this evening. He loves it and says he is going to live there now!

Smart goals for BLC

Monday, June 10, 2013

S- Stay within my calorie range weekly by planning ahead and making up for a higher calorie day by eating lower range on other days. I will get at least 20 minutes of cardio fitness in 6 days a week.

M- I will measure my calories and fitness by using the Sparkpeople trackers and keeping them public so I recieve feedback from other members.

A- I have all the resources I need here on Sparkpeople to attain this goal.

R- I am choosing to count calories as my goal, even though I will still be striving towards clean eating. I know that counting my calories will work for me and I am comfortable with it. It will help me move back into a healthy weight loss mind set.

T- I will commit to my plan for the 12 weeks of BLC22.
