It's hard to believe I have not been on SP for such a long time, I truly miss you all. For a good portion of the summer, I have taken off from dieting - for some unknown reason I always tend to do this. Maybe it's because I'm just out and about enjoying the summer and running in the sunshine. Who knows? But I've missed all of you and hope to be back in a few weeks. It's fall and I intend to run outside throughout the entire winter (minus a few days if the conditions are bad) so I know I have to get training again and making sure my meal plans are in order. I know the fact that when you need sp, it's still here after a little break to recuperate. VA has been hard to adjust to, especially seeing as the weather was not as nice this summer and we're living in a gated community in the middle of nowhere. I'm a social bug so the adjustment has been hard on not just me but the husband too. We intend on moving once again if things work out as planned near next spring (depending on the gov't). It's hard to work in a gov't funded industry and try to make a move if no one is hiring because of funding fears. But we will make it through, God willing.
So for now we are taking a few weeks off from work and our life here in VA and going on a trip overseas to Australia. My best friend lives there, along with her family and we intend on road tripping and enjoy good vegan food. We will also be taking our running clothes - hopefully I'll be able to report how fun it was to run on the Australia beaches! Additionally, we have some day hikes planned, city touring, swimming in the ocean and my favorite adventure to try - surfing!!!! I've never been but I have always wanted to try it - it looks so fun doesn't it? It's amazing at how when you lose a large portion of your extra unnecessary weight how one wants to try new things. This is my new thing that I know I will try when I'm there. It's a new me and a new thing to try. Hooray! Once back I'll share photos and start up my training once again. Can't wait!
Surfing is my one thing to try now that I'm more confident. Do you have one of these things?
