In the teens....

As I was packing for our camping trip this past week-end, I pulled open the bottom drawer of my dresser, which is where I "store" my smaller clothes.... from my last successful weight loss venture back in 2006!!!! (You know, blue jean shorts, capris, clothes that don't go out of style)!! When I started my weight loss journey back in November, I was "squeezing" into size 24 and on Friday I was able to easily slip into size 18 shorts!!! Woo-hoo!!! Needless to say, this just made my day and motivates me to stay the course!!1

I'm happy to say I'm down two pounds this week!!! YEAH!!! The scale finally showed some of the hard work I've been putting in!! Although I wasn't allowing myself to get discouraged, it sure feels good to see the numbers drop!! YEAH!!!!!

We're off for a week-end of camping! I'm hoping there's a trail or two I can hit for some cardio!!!

    I used to love camping!! But, sadly, those days seem to be over. It is just too hard to get up and down in a tent; my joints are too stiff. I really miss it. Take photos to show us if you can.

Today, I've had the desire to eat carbs, carbs, and more carbs, which I did... no excuses... just opted for carbs instead of the healthier foods I've been eating... Tomorrow is a new day and I WILL go back to my healthy eating plan.....

    I too felt like eating food not so healthy. Actually I wanted to binge on chocolate. Guess what, I didn't. I went to bed at 6:30 last night instead. I guess I was just tired. I slept good. emoticon

Progress but NOT on the scale..

I weighed in this morning, hoping to see a loss and was a bit disappointed to see NO loss!!! This is the second week of little or no loss and IF I weren't positive that I'm doing what I need to do to get healthier I just might be upset... but I know I'm doing what I need to be doing... so instead of getting angry, I got my tennis shoes on and headed to the gym....
I'm confident if I keep on keeping on, the scale will eventually catch up with ME!!!
This week I've tracked my food daily and stayed with-in my calorie range.. one area I'm going to work on is getting ENOUGH fiber, as that is one area I fell below the mark... I consumed a minimum of 14 glasses of water DAILY. I also went to the gym DAILY, twice on Zumba days, (my gym workout consists of a daily dose of cardio (30-45 minutes) daily as well as a strength training- one day upper, then lower, core, etc.. (Zumba is twice a week for 60 minutes.) So, I'm confident that I'm doing what I need to do, but will continue to check and recheck my food journals as well as my exercise logs, just to make sure I'm not missing something!!! In the meantime... I've put the scale away until we meet again next week!!!

    Keep on keeping on! You've got this. Things may not be moving on the scale but I bet you feel great. Clothes fitting better etc. That scale will follow. It sounds like you have the exercise part down, the scale is bound to catch up. Have a wondeerful weekend.

    Sounds like you are doing great. You know you are not dieting so what's the big deal with no weight this week. You know your body will release the weight when it gets ready. I'm saying this to me also its been three weeks since I have lost any and I know I am on my program right. I did start more exercise this week and I will see what happens. We will have a great year. Thanks for sharing.
