A surprising discovery...

I made a surprising discovery about myself on Friday... and that is I NEED to get physical activity in... not to lose weight but to FEEL good... I know.. who knew... prior to my revelation I worked under the assumption that I HAD to move to get physically fit... which is still true.. but... Friday when I didn't get to the gym (grandson time) I was just sort of SLUG like most of the day, low energy.. etc... However, after my grandson and I went on a short bike/walk it was as though my body WOKE up.... more energy.. brain fog gone.... who knew!!!! LOL! (Ended the day with two hours playing at the park and a power walk..)
So thankful for SPARKPEOPLE!!!

    I woke up at 2:30 this morning with antsy legs. I did not ride my bike yesterday like I normally do. I sleep better with exercise. Have a good day.

Almost...hit 60 pounds....

Last week when I weighed in, I reported that I was 1.9 pounds away from losing a total of 60 pounds, since beginning my journey to a healthier me, last fall. Well, I weighed in this morning and lost 1.6 pounds!! Almost but not quite putting me at 60 pounds...Of course, my mind ran back over my diet and exercise routines for the past week, and perhaps I could've eaten a little differently or moved a little more, BUT I lived my life and loved it, so I'm not complaining!!!!! Instead, I will take my 1.6 pound weight loss and be happy for it!!!
Now, I'm heading to the river with some of my girlfriends.. for a day of relaxation and lots of laughter!!!!!!

Getting Healthier...

I had my blood pressure checked yesterday and my numbers were great.... 117/70.. so much lower than when my weight was higher and I wasn't moving!!!!!

Feels so great to get healthier.....

Greetings,
I blogged earlier that I missed my weigh in last week.. so I decided to weigh in this morning and am happy to share that I am down 3.4 pounds, which is a loss of 2.4 pounds, because of the 1 pound gain earlier this month!!! Anyway, I'm pumped!!!!! My newest mini goal is to lose 1.9 pounds this week, as that will bring my total weight loss (so far) to 60 pounds))!!!

So excited to be heading back to the gym this morning, after a two week absence!!! Who would've thought that I, a former couch potato would be so excited about getting to work out!!! So thankful for the motivation I receive on a daily basis from Sparkpeople!!!
