I then looked back at the calendar for last November, which is when I first decided to lose some weight and get healthier... On November 1, 2010 I weighed 281.7 pounds as of this morning I weigh 201.2 pounds! I'm so ready to be in the hundreds, which is my next mini goal!!!!

Think about how much pressure is off your joints. For every 10 pounds, equal 30 pounds of extra stress on your joints. Holey Smokes!!!!

Healthy Reflections Quote!

Thursday, November 03, 2011

Do something for somebody every day for which you don't get paid.
- Albert Schweitzer, philosopher, musicologist, doctors

Isn't this a wonderful thought...just imagine how much we could accomplish if EVERYONE did this, every single day!!!!

To the gym, gym, gym....

Tuesday, November 01, 2011

After school today, I headed for the gym, getting there a little before 4:00; I started with a four mile stationary bike ride... then did my upper body workout (with weight machines) before moving onto my lower body workout, again with weight machines, before hitting the treadmill for a two mile walk.... I was almost done with my walk, when one of the employees came up and told me that our NEW Zumba instructor had arrived, this was after I'd been working out for over an hour... (Our former instructor left for another opportunity so our classes had been put on hold... thus I hadn't planned on doing Zumba!!!) Long story short, I met our new instructor and decided to do some Zumba... AWESOME!!! She kicked my butt... but I survived and will be seeing her again on Thursday!!!! (Now for a HOT bath)

Choices and Consequences!!!

Friday, October 28, 2011

It's Friday which means weigh in day!! I weighed this morning and discovered I'm down a mere two tenths of a pound; obviously that's better than a gain, however, I have to take ownership of my low weight loss this week!!! I could say it's because I was gone for several days or because I didn't feel well due to a head cold or not enough time to get my exercise in.. which are good excuses but the bottom line is I made the choice to put myself and exercise and on the back burner... and the consequences of that choice is low weight loss.. (On the plus side I did choose to stay within my calorie guidelines! :)) So for this week, I'm going to choose to be more active, starting with a week-end camping trip with our four grandchildren!! What choices will you make?
