Today has been a beautiful day, with lots of sunshine! The sunshine inspired my young students and I to go on a twenty minute walk around our campus! It was cool and brisk and very exhilarating!!! If you haven't viewed the world through the eyes of a child lately, try to take some time to do so, soon!!!

Weekly Weigh-In Today!

Today is my weekly weigh-in for the Brummer Brother Challenge! I'm pleased to say that I lost 1.2 pounds, which is less than my weekly goal of two pounds, but I'll take it!!!
Not sure, why my loss was less this week, perhaps I didn't work out enough, I know I stayed within my calorie range ALL seven days, so I'm NOT going to stress over the smaller weight loss! Instead, I'm going to take it and say, Thank-you, job well done and set my eyes on next week! emoticon

  


Lazy Sunday NOT so Lazy Today

It's been a blustery day here today, but I didn't let that stop me from going outside to play with my grandson, we played in the yard and tried to fly a kite, but there wasn't enough wind! Next, we made a trip to the local park... where he played on the equipment with his daddy, while his Poppa and I walked two laps (equal to one mile)!! We hoped to have time to play, but the rains came in, so we headed home!!! All in all a great day!!!

I so love my family!!!!

To say it's been a busy week is a bit of an understatement, but thanks to all that I'm learning on this website I've been able to make continued progress towards ALL of my goals!!! I've also managed to keep my stress under control; when I feel my stress level rising I've relied on the information I've garnered from my Stress Busting Team to prevent me from letting the stress control me!!! :)

So, thanks SPARKPEOPLE for helping me become a better me in ALL areas of my life!!! :)

Getting Enough of the Right Stuff

I'm happy to say that I've successfully tracked my caloric intake since I joined on February 5th; but I am having a hard time meeting the minimum when it comes to getting enough calcium in my diet! (I'm eating more lowfat/nonfat yogurt, cottage cheese, and drinking skim milk, but still fall short on most days!! Any suggestions for calcium rich (healthy) foods would be greatly appreciated!! emoticon
