Rocky Balboa Quote

Friday, February 17, 2012

Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows. It is a very mean and nasty place and it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But, it ain't how hard you hit; it's about how hard you can get hit, and keep moving forward. How much you can take, and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done. Now, if you know what you're worth, then go out and get what you're worth. But you gotta be willing to take the hit, and not pointing fingers saying you ain't where you are because of him, or her, or anybody. Cowards do that and that ain't you. You're better than that!

Borrowed from a fellow Sparker!

Thursday, February 16, 2012

Even if the challenges are immense and the obstacles are many, step forward and live the life you choose to live. Your dreams are worth every effort.
Even if you get knocked down again and again, get right back up and get going. With enough persistence any goal is within your reach.
Even if no one believes you, insist on being truthful. Keep the power of truth always on your side.
Even if you can't see all the way to the end of the road, go ahead and take the first step. Each time you make some proress, you'll find new ways to make even more.
Even if you results fall short of your expectations, keep making the effort. Each new day brings you more experience, wisdom and effectiveness.
Even if you've been deeply disappointed in the past, focus on the positive possibilities. For your future is what you choose to make it now.- Ralph Marston

I read this on another blog the other day and just had to share it with even more people!!

One day at a time...

Tuesday, February 14, 2012

One day at a time--this is enough. Do not look back and grieve over the past for it is gone; and do not be troubled about the future, for it has not yet come. Live in the present, and make it so beautiful it will be worth remembering.- Ida Scott Taylor

Gratitude....

Monday, February 13, 2012

Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow. Melody Beattie

It is important for me to be grateful for ALL things in my life... I am epecially grateful for Sparkpeople and all the wonderful people who make sparkpeople what it is ! Blessings!

I'm grateful that I was brought in the older days when we learned, manners, gratitude, to be self-sufficient and be thoughtful and caring for others. I have a lot to be thankful for and I believe that I have taught my girls to feel the same way.
I'm not very impressed with this current generation. emoticon
