Perspective...

Wednesday, April 11, 2012

I read this on another blog today and had to share it with others! It's simple and straight forward and makes this process so completely doable!!!

As long as you're moving forward, you will eventually reach the top.

One step.
One minute.
One mile.
One workout.
One bite.
One meal.
One hour.
One day.
One week.
One pound.

They always tell us "Baby Steps" and I think making too big a plan makes us discouraged. emoticon

Albert Einstein Quote

Tuesday, April 10, 2012

Imagination is more important than knowledge. Knowledge is limited, imagination encircles the world.- Albert Einstein.

Where will your imagination lead you today? How will your imagination make your life and the life of those around you a bit better today? Live! Laugh! Love!

Imagination is so important and I'm afraid children now days are losing it. Way back when, we had to "play like" because we didn't have the things children have now. I think imagination is a sad thing to lose! emoticon emoticon

Steve Maraboli Quote

"My past has not defined me, destroyed me, deterred me, or defeated me; it has only strengthened me." - Steve Maraboli

I borrowed this quote from a fellow Sparker... it's so very true for me and hopefully many others! Blessings!

Small town tragedy!

Saturday, April 07, 2012

I learned last night of the death of a two year old little girl in the little town where I teach, she was backed over in her driveway, while this is absolutely devastating, it is made even worse by the fact that the driver of the vehicle was her uncle, the brother of her father. This young man is twenty years old and has always been very emotional, I can only imagine what he is going through. Then when I stop to think about his niece and what her parents/grandparents must be going through I can't fathom their pain. Please, please keep this family in your prayers as you gather with your families this week-end! This is yet another reminder that there are NO guarantees of a tomorrow; today I choose to love, laugh and live! Blessings!

How sad. We had a similar incident here, but it was the father who ran over his daughter. I'll be keeping the entire family in thought and prayer. I hope they can find a way to forgive and heal.

You are so right that we are never guarenteed the next minute!!

How tragic! My thoughts will certainly be with them today as I prepare to welcome my family and friends into my home to celebrate Easter. It would be horrific at any time to lose a child - whether they are a family member or just a friend's child - but around a holiday makes it especially tough. My heart certainly goes out to the little girls parents and siblings but it also goes out to a 20-year old that will have many years to live with this tragedy. I hope the family can find forgiveness in their hearts and comfort each other through this tough time, not point fingers. It will take all of them helping each other to heal. Especially the Uncle.

And you're right. Tomorrow is not guaranteed! Hug and love on your family while you can. I know tomorrow everyone will hear "Love You!" and receive hugs over here!
