My wonderful fiance has been so supportive of me. He is a chef and he loves to cook at home; he has really been thinking of healthy meals to prepare for us. He saves the cream of (broccoli, chicken, mushroom, garlic) for his restaurant and makes the yummy broth-based Thai soups at home. He thinks that Sparkpeople is a great website and is proud of how well I've done with my daily calories.
Today I broke down again and ate a bag of popcorn (no, not the 100 calorie bag, the whole bag of butter popcorn). I put it into my calorie count for today. Good news - It didn't totally blow my count for the day since I was really stingy earlier (which may account for the popcorn attack); bad news: I feel a little defeated. But before I joined SP, I probably would have just threw in the towel for tonight and ate a million other things. Instead, I logged 35 minutes of strength training for my upper body. Wahoo!
Tomorrow it is supposed to snow here (about 9 inches) so I am looking forward to a great cardio workout shoveling out my car. I'll probably lug around my neighborhood in my snowboots for a bit as well.
