He got me last night, but not this morning.

General Tso, that is. Yesterday after school I had this overwhelming feeling of "I must have Chinese food." Really, I did. So I stopped for some General Tso (and an eggroll), stuffed my face, and crashed on the couch for THREE HOURS. Yes, from 6:00-9:00 last night I slept on the couch. Ugh.

Went upstairs, got back to sleep around 10:30ish.

The message on my alarm for this morning read "Burn off the General." Right before my alarm went off, I was thinking that I'd just take one more day off (you know those famous last words - one more day...) but when the alarm rang and I read my message, I got myself out of bed and ready to go.

I'm not going to spin this morning, but I *am* going to get in another workout. It's FINALLY Friday and I'm uber-excited. The even better news is that since I got take out last night, I definitely won't want it today. In fact, I was salivating over the apple that I'm going to have for lunch. Ha!

    Your alarm does messages? That's a great idea. I find that my attitude in the morning usually dictates my attitude the whole day, so if you wake up feeling like kicking the General, you're gonna have a good day!

I do my darnedest to not complain about the weather - it's going to happen if I like it or not - but man, I'm tired of this! I'm ready to see a tulip or something.

Today:
- water water water!!!
- stop for some flowers for one of the girls at school... she's having a rough go at it lately
- write out Valentine's cards to send tomorrow
- stick to the eating plan

This summer I'd like to get certified to be a personal trainer. I'm really looking forward to it! This is a good long-term goal for me... every time I want to eat something, I think of an ad I saw - "Personal trainer wanted. Must be certified and in fantastic shape." I love that - "must be in fantastic shape." I would love it if someone I didn't know looked at me and went "wow, she's in fantastic shape." Those few words helped me avoid a second cookie yesterday afternoon.

This has been the longest week known to man.

I need to drink a bit more water tonight.

My couch is calling me.

Pumpkin ice cream is getting churned (yes, it's freezing outside, but we had cream and pumpkin that needed to be used up).

Honey made beef short ribs for dinner. I just took them out of the oven and they smell HEAVENLY.

Bedtime will be EARRRRRRLEEEEE tonight (I hope!)

Busting through Tuesday

Today is another busy day. After school I have Power Yoga and Body Pump. But tomorrow is a rest day. A glorious rest day. After only having one total rest day a week for a while, I've gone back to having two a week, typically Sunday and Wednesday. My body is thanking me for that!

Today:
- water water water!
- Be zen-like at Yoga tonight.
- I get to wear my new Bondi Band! Yahoo!
- I have a really delicious lunch packed.
- Brad is making dinner - stir-fry - for me when I get home from the gym.

Post-game uuurrrgggh

I don't remember where I read it, but once i read that sweating is a great way to get the alcohol and hangover out of your system more quickly. I seriously need to sweat this morning.

Last night Brad and I went to a Super Bowl party. We ate dinner before we went, so there was minimal eating there. (I did have two wings, a meatball, a croissant wiener and two chips.) But the wine is what did it. Holy moly. Luckily I drank a ton of water yesterday, so I think that helped keep me from feeling like a *total* zombie this morning.

My alarm went off at 5:00 (UUURRRRGGGHHHH) this morning and I seriously considered going back to bed. But I am in charge of my success. So here I am. Two cups of coffee later, a big bottle of water later, and I'm ready to leave in about 5 minutes.

Today:
- water water water water!!!!
- protein bar between school and haircut, healthy light dinner after haircut.
- go to bed EARLY tonight!
