Today my plan was to work like crazy on my final paper for a class. I got SO much done. I found my articles, I wrote about 5 pages of my rough draft, and I have a great handle on what my paper is about. I'm feeling good and I'm going to be ready to submit it for my Wednesday deadline.
Went for a run this morning - about 2.5 miles. Weather was just perfect. The rain and wind held off and the sun came out. Yippee! My running buddy is in the same group, so we went to breakfast after our run. Carrot spice pancakes were the special today, and they were delicious.
I came to a realization this morning - I don't really like to dance. I was thinking about the dance classes at the gym, and I thought "you know, I don't particularly enjoy them." I'm not a good dancer, and I get frustrated when I can't do the steps. Also, I don't feel like they are helping me reach my goal of having ripped arms. Sigh... I guess we can't like everything. But at least I am trying them. I think it's important to try new things before making a decision on whether or not I enjoy it. I think I'll spend the rest of tonight revamping my workout schedule for the week; less dancing, more biking and swimming. The triathlon challenge at the gym is still going on and I really need to get in some more miles on my bike and laps in the pool.
I know that everyone out there has really great April goals. It's been a crazy month for me, and I just want to say thank you to you all for your support and for making such good goals. Seeing how everyone is meeting their goals is keeping me from getting *too* derailed.
Good thing about today - I busted out 11 man pushups for my honey. He looked totally impressed.

Oh Friday, I never thought you would get here.
Today I am up super early to get in some swimming. Friday nights I just do not get a single thing done. Jammies are on, wine is open, couch is filled with a lazy Carrie. I've been very un-motivated this week for a variety of reasons. Getting my rear out to swim today is a big step in getting back my Spark.
Last night I bought a bike! My neighbor's daughter just happened to be selling hers, and I was looking for one, so $200 later, I have a bike! And it's a really *nice* bike. It has road/trail tires, front suspension, in-handle gears, removable front tire... the girl who owned it is upgrading to a new bike. If I were to buy it new, it would have set me back much more than what I paid! So last night I tooled around our development, getting used to the gears. SO fun. This weekend I plan on getting a helmet, lock, and bike rack for the car. My gym buddy also likes to trail ride - how fun!
Another exciting part about yesterday - my yogurt reward came in the mail. Yahoo! I eat Oikos Greek yogurt, and there are codes on the lids you can enter to earn free yogurt, free Annie's stuff, chocolate... My last reward was a free box of Annie's something. My coupon came yesterday. Yay! I love love love the chocolate bunnies; I can't get them often, because I usually end up eating the whole box.
Anyway, I hope everyone's Friday is filled with sun, energy, and good food and fitness choices. It's been a while, so goals for today:
Drink at least 4 Siggs full of water
Start work on my paper tonight (even if it's just printing out some articles)
Be positive and give someone a compliment.

I have to pat myself on the back for a minute. I was responsible tonight. I have a few papers to write for my classes, and I tend to put off things like that until the day they are due (a horrible habit of mine). Today I worked on a paper, sent it to myself, and thought "I can finish this on Saturday morning." (It's due Saturday at 7pm.) Tonight after my two gym classes and some dinner, I was all ready to check my Spark stuff, my Facebook page and sit on the couch, but something made me finish my paper and send it to my professor.
Now this may not sound big, but for me this is HUGE. For me to send a paper on a Tuesday when it's not due until Saturday? Holy moly!
Tonight was Transcend Dance. A mix of yoga, meditation, and different dance styles. Very interesting and very fun. I am looking forward to taking it again. Then was Pilates Fusion - WHOA hard class. My core is feeling it.
Tomorrow morning is an early morning session with my trainer. Tonight at Pilates she said to me "I was thinking that tomorrow we'd go through *my* workout as your session." She knows I want arms like hers, so I have a feeling I'm going to be super sore tomorrow. But I'm looking forward to it anyway.
Clothes are picked out for tomorrow; I didn't get around to packing my lunch, but I think i can throw something together tomorrow morning before I leave for the gym.
Off to pick up my honey from work... it's a late night for me.

but I don't know where it went.
Between my comprehensive exams, my Saturday run, driving to the symphony, dance class, napping, and school work, the weekend went by waayyyy too fast. I don't even feel like I had a weekend. Ugh.
This morning I have a little bit of a sore throat... I think you guys were right - I may be coming down with something. My knees were extra achy yesterday, and my honey said that my body language was weird, like something wasn't right.
Alarm went off at 5:00 this morning, and I got up, reset it for 6:00, and went back to sleep. I think I'm going to change my sleep schedule again. 5:30 or 6:00 seems like a more reasonable time for me to get up. The evenings are light, and I feel like my evening energy has returned. We'll see... it's an on-going experiment.
Running club tonight...
Today I will:
Drink at least 4 Siggs of water (I've been seriously slacking on the water)
Pack my lunch for tomorrow
Finish the laundry folding and ironing from yesterday
Start working on my assignment that's due on Friday (if I could submit it earlier than Friday I'd be a happy camper.)
