Bummed Out!

I have really been feeling motivated about eating healthy food and getting more exercise.

I have been consistently getting my 10,000 steps in and doing some toning. emoticon
So why am I bummed out? emoticon

I have been fighting off a cold but this morning I woke up feeling worse than ever: sore throat, headache, dizzy, and frustrated! emoticon

I don't want to lose my momentum but I guess I will have to take a step back and give myself time to recover. I know it could be a lot worse but I'm still bummed out!

emoticon Last year at this time I had lost 30 pounds!

My goal was to control my type 2 diabetes by losing weight and exercising. emoticon

That is still my goal but over the summer I kept gaining and losing and going nowhere!

This winter the weather has been nasty and I gained 5 lbs. emoticon

I am determined to get back on track, lose the 5 lbs. and head toward my goal weight.

But for some reason it seems harder to do. emoticon

emoticon On a more positive note: I met my goals this week! emoticon

I did 10,000 steps per day, drank 8 glasses of water per day, and had 5 freggies per day.

And I lost 1.5 pounds!!!! emoticon emoticon

    Great job on meeting your goals for the week!!! I am in the same boat with weight frustration!! I lost a total of 90 pounds when first diagnosed...40 at first (which was the reason that sent me to see my primary in the first place) and 50 pounds thereafter and I maintained that until about a year and half ago when I regained 25 pounds and it just won't budge despite upping my exercise time. I am joining a gym to see if swimming will have effect. It is just so frustrating with the extra weight because 1) I did not change any part of my diet that would cause the weight gain and 2) the extra weight won't budge other than 2 pounds down and then back up 2 pounds. My BSs on the other hand continue to be good!!! My endocrinologist even did thyroid studies but the labs were all within normal limits so don't know what the problem is. Even more frustrating is that none of my pants fit anymore except one pair of jeans and that started to wear in the knee and eventually ripped (it finally ripped getting into my husband's car on my way to get my labs drawn) and I explained to the young lab tech about the rip and she said I was hip, that it is hip to wear jeans that are ripped. I had to laugh at her and told way back when in the earl 70s I wore ripped jeans all the time, back then it WAS hip to do that but not now since I have become a woman of a certain age (notice I did not say old lady emoticon )

Anyway emoticon We just have to emoticon
