I wanted to let all my buddies know I am still

working on my health and eating better.

Our huge front door weighs between 300 and 600 pounds.

Reinforced with steal and concrete.

The following pics are the door almost finished.

The door has been a big deal to me personally as it

had to fit for a castle and a regular cookie cutter door

    They will always remember this time. We remodeled an old farm house when I was a teenager-what a job but I still remember it and that was home till I married. Bet you are anxious for nice weather so you can work more.

Triglycerides high! I know why..

It has been a cold winter here in Ohio as in most of the Northeast. My children love the snow and would play in it more if allowed. emoticon








Feeling? Good.

I have been having issues with my shoulder after the surgery

and hope that no more setbacks with it as spring is near and

I am SO ready to get back to work on our cabin!

I ate good last night after receiving a very bad cholesterol scan

and wanting to get back on track and control the late night

snacking with low calorie alternatives.

I am border line diabetic and fall asleep easily when I eat sugar

in most any quantity if left alone in my lazy boy. So I am cutting

back on my sugars intake as well.(178 mg/dl non fast)

My hdl was 30 and this is due to eating poorly, but mostly

lack of exercise and being over weight. Catch 22 because

working out causes me pain now and seems more so when

the barometer is low, I need to research why or if just

coincidence..?Thus I will be using my treadmill more to

get the weight off and the good hdl up. I am also back

on my cholesterol meds ( I had forgot to take them for 2

weeks prior to the exam). My triglycerides were through

the roof at 544 not fasting and this is very bad as well thus

I will try to eat less and less fatty foods.


My snack last night was a few oyster crackers a thin slice of cheese and a small sweet potato cooked plain.




My stress level is 1 of a 0 to 10 scale. Feeling Good with only minor arthritic pain to attest for the one. emoticon

    Chris,

Drop by and share this with the rest of the team. You know we will be behind you all the way. I am so sorry that exercise is causing you so much pain. Is there anything that can be done about this, or is it, as you put it, simply a catch 22 situation and you have to live with it? Hopefully even taking pain meds would help, although i agree it is not ideal.

Take care and just get back to that discipline ans self determination that I know you have within you, and definitely DO NOT BE A STRANGER!

    As someone else said, carbs will really affect the triglycerides. When I cut out all the sweets it was amazing how rapidly mine dropped. Try to go for some lean or low fat protein to keep up your energy and eat several smaller meals.

    I'm glad to see you making positive changes. You need to get that triglyceride level under control. They are driven by carbs so keep that in mind.

    The cold does affect your body and appetite. I know when the barometer drops, my joints more than ache. I read an article yesterday that cold does seem to increase people's appetite...even affects dogs' appetite. I gave in to the pain and appetite last week. This week I am fighting the appetite and sugar with lots of drinking water and high fiber snacks. A microwaved sliced apple with a little water and cinnamon is great! emoticon hugs, Laurel emoticon emoticon

I am happy to report I am still here and have

logged two day in a row of exercise!

I set goals and finish them all the time

so this time I have these here goals for too long 7 years

almost the same goals right?

WELL

I AM BACK ON TRACK AND WILL BE LOGGING

    Why is it Chris that some people can get focused and get done with this thing called weight loss and others (like you and I) have to keep chugging along-I am not sure about you but I have lost and then gained and lost again and keep plugging but never get to goal. I am determined that this year I am going to make it-how about you???????
