Sunk the Streak

Thursday, July 25, 2013

Not in a good way = I sunk the streak. I had things to attend to out of town and that was that. I lost the streak. Gone. The water every day I mostly hung on to. The day I returned home, I was hot and tired. Missed my goals. The next morning, there was a morning disagreement and I ended up eating too much all day and no exercise. None.

Today is a new morning. I should have exercised early but I did not sleep well...woke up a lot of times. Today I have volunteer work in the midmorn but I recognize I need to organize time to volunteer to work for my health. I can start a new streak and I can hang on to it.

There is a coming birthday celebration to attend...and out of town again...but, I can handle this enjoyably and keep on my SP program=if I try harder. I will skip the ice cream at the party because I had some yesterday and the day before.

If it is going to be ultimately it is up to me....to lose those 60 pounds...and I can if I stay on the SP program..... emoticon

With that attitude you will pass that old streak record with no problems. Just look at it as a record to beat - like an olympic athlete. Recognizing the problems, and planning are wonderful tools to keep us all on track. emoticon emoticon

Thank You Spark People....

Tuesday, July 16, 2013

I almost called it a day without doing my exercises--almost. The Spark People program kicked in...and I put on the pedometer, unwrapped the new dvd workout and held on to the streak!!! Yeppers = 4719 steps later doing a fast 2 mile walk that included core exercises and 30 minutes later I was misting through every pore and had seen a workout with a higher heart rate....and although it was not a 6000 step workout, I am glowing! The end of stretches and lowering the heart rate let me end saying = thank you Spark People program/program peeps........ emoticon

emoticon High five for pushing yourself to exercise. I have to really make a commitment to do it since I can be the world's best at just flopping on the couch.

What dvd are you using. I've thought about trying some of the walking ones since it seems like it would be more fun than just the treadmill. Of course the dog won't let me get away without her walk.

Trackers are not working correctly

Tuesday, July 16, 2013

It was a goal this morning to review my exercise because I am happy to say that it is a streak! However, after the review I see some things are just reading incorrectly. Now I have to decide if I should spend more time trying to figure out why this could be or just type in manually in a journal and be done with it. Time is valuable....and I really wanted a reference to review. So down the hatch with water, cereal with milk in proper proportion with morning prayer and it is time to get on with the day! emoticon

New View from Steps

Monday, July 15, 2013

Sunday = made a nice walk of .5 mi around the track...it was a day of rest.

Monday = it was back to business on the walking commitment...the morning was too packed to work in a walk but this evening I started off the steps throughout different streets and worked in 7053 steps according to this new pedometer and I beat the sprinkles of rain that started just as I was home again. 2.97 mi in 1 hr and 7 minutes (hills and all) 289 calories gonzo....

These steps were continuous ones and it is thrilling to feel my endurance has improved! I wanted to get this logged in some place because there is a busy evening ahead still. This cooler weather has been such a blessing!

Good for you. It should be cooler here tomorrow so I am planning on a good long walk with the dog.

It's a Wrap

Saturday, July 13, 2013

Wrapping up the week of exercise was 8 laps in lane 8 around a track. These 2 miles were without stopping except a brief retying of one sneaker. I wore my new ugly pedometer which said 6023 steps...I just have not found a reasonably priced attractive pedometer. We have had a week of cooler weather that made it so much easier to get outside and walk. A brief summary =
Mon=1 mile Tue=1.5 miles Wed=1.5 miles Thur=2.5 miles Fri=1 mile Sat= 2 miles

WooHooooo! 9.5 miles in this week Now if I can just use the tracker properly in the Spark People site, I have a 6 day streak.
