March results & April goals

Monday, April 07, 2014

March was definitely not a good month as far as weight goes. I learned that the INVOKANA for my diabetes was most likely what led to the CELLULITIS. So my Dr discontinued that & stated me on an Insulin pen. So there went the weight out the window. emoticon

I began March @ 173.5 but by the end of the month I was up to 179.2, not a happy girl. emoticon

With April starting at a new high weight of 179.2, I'm refocusing my goals to counter the weight gain due to the insulin. My goals for April are:

*10 cups of water daily
*5 servings for freggies daily
*Planning my meals
*finding ways to fit in some cardio DAILY
*drop weight from 179.2 to 177

I'm ready to make April a month to lose!

I empathize with you in dealing with CELLULITIS and glad you found out what was causing it. What part of your body has it? As you know, I've been dealing with something similar in my hands. I wish you the best of luck with your goals!

You can do it Donna! Certain meds put weight on and now that your Dr. changed the meds, I'm sure things will go back to normal for you. You have great, realistic goals for April!!!!

Your body will adjust to the med and that will make it some easier to gauge what you can eat daily and still lose. Rest also figures in, because that is when your body naturally releases water your are storing, which is why we have to go so bad when we wake up. So, with the flush of your systems, by drinking more water you will help your body not to retain it and sleep will aid the water in keeping any weight from being water weight. I know that you have this, you are committed, realistic and motivated, so you will get to your monthly goal, no problem! Hugs!

I have a goal of 2 pounds this month also. Problems with adjusting my thyroid meds has made it harder than usual to make any progress in that area along with exhaustion and depression. It's surprising how the thyroid affects so much!
Your goals are good and are reachable with effort on your part. (That's where my problem comes in - I don't have the motivation to consistently put in the needed effort!)

February results & March Goals ---BSG Week 1 Clever Clovers

Monday, March 03, 2014

I started out February doing really well with shedding some #s, had actually dropped to 172 but then something happened, not sure what & gained back. So all in all I only lost 1.1#, dropping my weight from 174.6 down to 173.5 but hey that's better than no loss at all! LOL. emoticon .

I'm refocusing my goals as I'm having some issues with my diabetes & need to get a handle on things. So for March I setting specific but reasonable goals to help me achieve better blood sugar control.

*10 cups of water daily
*5 servings for freggies daily
*Tracking my nutrition 5 of the 7 days each week
*walking or some other cardio to total 120 minutes per week, minimum
*drop weight from 173.5 to 171

I'm ready to make this a great month!

At least you didn't gain all of your weight back. So February was still successful. I'm sorry you are having problems with your blood sugar. I think you've set some good attainable goals to achieve this month. I have no doubt that you can and will achieve them! emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon
