Not your typical Friday...

Saturday, March 29, 2014

I had a follow up Dr.'s appointment yesterday. Every three months I ahve a blood draw and a Dr. visit the next week. Well, there's good news and theire's bad news. First the good news. I'm down 10 poinds in 3 months without even really trying. I am also being referred to an audiologist specialist to see if i can be evaluated for a Cochlear implant for my left ear. Since I love the sound so much out of the right ear I do ahve 2 ear you know. the person talking to me must be in front of me or on my right side for me to understand them so that is being looked into. the bad news is that my diabetes has progressed from type 2 to type 1 and i willb e seeing a man who will teach me how to administer insulin and learn about the doses. I did ahve Gastational diabetes when pregnant and administered the insulin shot to myself. I can't exercise as much these days.

Unfortunately, diabetes is a progressive disease. Although, you are being put on insulin, you are still a type 2 diabetic but are known as an 'insulin dependent type 2 diabetic'.

Your doing great Debbie and hopefully if you continue doing so well your diabetes will revert to type 2.

I hope you're told that you are a candidate for an implant. That would be wonderful. The news about diabetes, though, isn't nice, but you'll do what you must to take care of yourself. You are a champion that way.

Thats wonderful news about the chochlear implant. I would love to have such a device to help me hear better too....but it isnt available without medical aid, which I dont have. So happy for you. Sorry about the diabetes, hope that goes well for you, will you come off insulin if your weight loss increases? Or is this going to be with you for life now?

It's too bad about the diabetes. I hope you can get your other implant to help your hearing.

I arise today through
God's strength to guide me,
God's might to sustain me,
God's wisdom to direct me,
God's eye looking before me,
God's ear listening to me,
God's word speaking for me,
God's hand protecting me,
The way of God stretching before me,
And the shield of God as my shelter.

Have a blessed day!

    Good Morning Debbie...
Sometimes our email providers go and decide for themselves which emails to block. You can go to your start page, under your name on the left, is the link that says Account / E-Mail Preferences.
Click on it and when the second window pops up, go to the email tab.
Go all the way to the bottom of the list and see if the Never email me again box is checked.
If so, then your email provider blocked SP.
Uncheck it and then go and check which of the above boxes you want to receive. Then click save.
Also, (on that same page, there may be words in RED in the first paragraph that says something like "renew your email address" If that's there click on it.

Hope this helps.

This was yesterday... in the morning.

After my morning cup of coffee I had a small cheese slice and prepared my oatmeal. Using a packaged oatmeal regular flavor and made it in the microwave. Proceeded to add a small amount of frozen blueberries and milk and went to sit down at the table.

Yuck! It wasn't oatmeal. I had a disgusting blind moment. I actually am legally blind. This was packaged Lipton Beefy onion soup mix. Yuck Yuck! But hey! I did get in a little protein.

Didn't you notice that the package was not COLD? Did you take the soup mix from the freezer?

I guess it was the blueberries that wouldn't let you convince yourself that you were eating cream of onion soup.
